Heck it kind of looks like he got confused with the ref and Maia rushing towards him at the same time, like he didnt know who to defend against. You have ignored this user.

Did the OP change the gif? Because this one, more than the others, finally makes me think it might have been a premature stoppage. He got blasted, but you can clearly see that he sees Thiago, and reacts by putting up his hand and leg in a defensive fashion.

Although shit, what's done is done...and I'm just happy we're talking about this and no the damn vaseline thing for a change!

If he wasn't out, why was he looking outside the cage instead of the ref or Thiago? Do you think he was looking for advice from his corner.
