Please read the below article i saw on Facebook from Cage Potato. I think this is a very disrespectful atricle and not what i would expect from Cage Potato. Guido champion of the world? Loser finally f*cking retires? Pretty low imo.....
Matt Serra Could Face Frank Trigg in a 'Loser Finally F*cking Retires' Match in February (CagePotato.com)Share Today at 2:08am (from CagePotato.com) Colorful Long Island resident Matt "The Terror" Serra — who has competed at a blistering pace of one fight per year since 2005 — may have already booked his 2010 UFC appearance. According to MMA Fanhouse, Serra has verbally agreed to a bout in Las Vegas on February 6th. Though Serra wouldn't confirm who his opponent will be, Fanhouse says Frank Trigg is a strong possibility. Which makes sense, since they're both in their mid-30s and coming off losses and not really factors in the division anymore. The loser of that fight would probably be retired by Joe Rogan in the post-fight interview, while the winner would pretty much have to take a rematch with Matt Hughes, considering that Hughes doesn't have any better ideas. And that would suit Serra just fine. Since his decision loss to Hughes at UFC 98, Serra has spent his days working on his new 8,300 square-foot MMA gym ("it's going to be the best one on Long Island, that's for sure") and stewing over his last defeat: "There's no way you are going to tell me I lost that last fight. I don't care. I mean, whatever, I don't care what the judges say. There was one guy trying to end that and there was one guy trying to squeak out a victory, you know? And that's pretty much my take on it. I thought I won the first and the third round...I haven't mentioned anything about the guy publicly. I know he wants to move on. I would love a rematch because I don't think it's really settled." Was it a decisive victory for Hughes? Not really. Should we be forced to sit through it again? Absolutely not. Best-case scenario: Serra beats Trigg, Phil Baroni beats Amir Sadollah at #106, and the UFC's first New York show at Madison Square Garden features Serra vs. Baroni for Guido Champion of the World. I've read some funny stuff from Cage Potato but yeah, that's crap. I actually thought Hughes/Serra was a good fight and much better than anticipated, esp. Serra hitting a sweet surprise takedown in round two IIRC. Very close fight and I wouldn't mind a rematch at all. Serra/Baroni sounds pretty good too. That guy must have an Italian steal his girl or something :) TH

RearNakedJoke - ^ ttt for answers..... Here's your answer: Snark isn't for everyone. Luckily we have a lot of readers who enjoy what we do. (Seriously. A lot of them. I'd be happy to provide numbers.) Plus, so much of the entertainment value of our posts is contained in the links. Come on, you think we'd just end a post with "Ohhhhh!" ? I love Matt Serra, and I love Phil Baroni's antics. But our goal is to make boring news fun to read, and one way we do that is by busting balls sometimes. It's rarely personal.

There's nothing wrong with busting someones chops, but titling an article "Matt Serra Could Face Frank Trigg in a 'Loser Finally F*cking Retires' Match in February" is going beyond that, in my opinion. There's funny, and then there's disrespectful. Just my two cents.

Eh, its hard coming up with unique content day in, day out. Sometimes you just want to talk, instead of write, and when you do comments like that can come out. Just an attempt to be comical - nothing more. I've always liked their stuff. Big fan.

LOL @ the twisted panties. I found the article somewhat entertaining. Matt Hughes not having any better ideas = funny because it's true. Loser finally retires may be harsh, but it's aprapos. I know these fighters are your heros, but ease up on the righteous indignation. good article.
