Yuji Shimada saved Verdadero. With a punch Phil broke Verdadero's orbit. THAT's WHY he went down.
Sure I would have liked the fight to go on for a few minutes. But Yuji was there, and saw the damage Rod was taking and that Phil was dishing out.

good for him. Phil has fought serious comp plenty of times and i think he is doing the smart thing and starting over at 170 instead of jumping in with top guys he is working his way up. Smart

oh man, i was out at a party last night and i was waiting on two important phone calls. one about the baroni fight, and the other about my friend who was fighting in operation octagon in md for the hw title.
needless to say, both came out victorious with ko wins and i got very intoxicated.
