So everyone is bitching that GSP isn't making a million dollars a fight yet...exactly how much was Jon Fitch compensated for losing half his brain cells in that fight?
Shit, even for $500k I don't know if that kind of a beating would be worth it.

He got dropped 4 times. When you go down from a punch, especially how Fitch did, it is because you were hit on a nerve cluster that is tied to your brain stem. Your brain stem is rattled and hence rattles your actual brain and that is why you lose control of your motor skills. This is called being hit on the sweet spot. When your brain is rattled, it may smack against your skull and bruise and swell. That is what leads to a concussion. Just because he was coherent after the fight doesn't mean he didn't have a concussion. Pedro Rizzo fought an entire 3 round fight with a concussion and didn't remember any of it ever. But you wouldn't have realized he was knocked out by the way he fought.
He probably had at least one if not several concussions. If he's back in the gym that fast he's crazy.

I just rewatched the fight 2 minutes ago and the fight should have been stopped end of the 4th rd.I am sure Fitch can take a lot of damage but was it worthwhile to end up with a bruised brain stem which can lead to death several weeks or months later from swelling.Especially that shot where GSP knocked the vaseline off Fitchs eye looked like there was a mild concussion.Better to fight another day than die on the battlefield.
Still mad props for Fitch and GSP for FOTY.
