2017 NAGA BOSTON GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is the world’s largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 500,000 competitors worldwide. On Saturday, January 21, 2017, NAGA returns to Hanover, MA for our first event of 2017, the NAGA Boston Grappling Championship No-Gi & Gi tournament. Come as an individual or as a team to compete.

NAGA has implemented an all-new registration, bracketing, and scoring system to enhance our competitors’ tournament experience. The system and all of its advanced features are free to all NAGA competitors, coaches and family members. More information about the system can be found below.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS
For 2017, NAGA has three registration options: Pre-Registration, Late Online Registration, At Event Registration. Details for each registration type are below, followed by the registration deadlines.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES
Pre-Registration: Register by Saturday, January 14.
Late Registration: Register 1/15/17 through 1/19/17
At Event Registration: Friday (1/20/17) or Saturday (1/21/17)

PRE-REGISTRATION
Register early and save money. The registration fees are:
1 Division = $85
Each additional division is $20
Spectators are $10 each. Children 8 and under are free.

LATE REGISTRATION
We understand that you may not be able to commit to compete until the week of the event. This option is cheaper than registering at the event. The registration fees are:
1 Division = $105
Each additional division is $20
Spectators are $15 each. Children 8 and under are free.

REGISTER AT THE EVENT
For those who register online the Friday and Saturday of the event (1/20 - 1/21/17) or right at the event, The registration fees are:
1 Division = $120
Each additional division is $20
Spectators are $15 each (Children 8 and under are free).
Competitors can still register and pay online on these days.
Those who registered online and paid with a credit card can go straight to the Referee Interview table when arriving at the event.
If you are paying cash, you can register online and click the "Skip Online Payment" link. When you get to the event you will need to go to the Pay Today table. Your payment will be collected. Once collected, your payment will be verified and you will be sent to the Referee Interview table. Please note that this cash option is only available during this "Register at Event" registration period.

Those who need to register when you arrive at the venue can use your personal Internet connected device, or one of our registration kiosks. To save you time, please CREATE A TOURNEYGURU ACCOUNT before you arrive at the venue. If you do not create an account or are unable to, you can create one at the event.

Cash or credit (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) are the only accepted forms of payment at the event. AmEx and checks are not accepted.
You can register on Friday night during the designated timeframe (please consult the event schedule for this timeframe), or on Saturday.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU GET TO THE EVENT
There will be two lines at the front door.

If you registered and paid with a credit card online: You will go directly to the line for the Referee Interview table. The referee will make sure you are in the correct division then send you to weigh-in. You cannot weigh-in without checking in at this table.

If you are paying cash, adding an extra division, or purchasing spectator passes, you need to go to the line for the Pay Today table. Your payment will be collected and verified, then you will be sent to the Referee Interview table. Those who purchased specator passes only can directly enter the event.

After finishing up at the Referee Interview table and collecting your free merchandise, you will go to the weigh-in station. Once you weigh-in you will be locked into our bracketing system. For division start times and which mat you are competing on, you will be notified by text message (if you signed up for that option), the TourneyGuru app, or you can check in at the Bracketing Table.

IMPORTANT: Children and Teens need to be registered and weighed-in by 9:00 AM on Saturday. Adults need to be registered and weighed-in 90 minutes prior to their estimated division start time (found on the SCHEDULE tab).

FAMILY RATES
The family rates are different for 2017. When registering a family, you will register each competitor then enter a coupon code at the payment screen. For 2 family members the discount is $20, 3 members is $40, 4 members $60, and so on.
FAMILY RATES ARE ONLY VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING: A parent paying for themselves and their minor child or children (under the age of 18). A parent paying for their minor children (under the age of 18).
In order to apply a family discount, you must call our office 860.295.0403 between the hours of 9AM and 5PM EST to obtain a valid code prior to registration.

CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS AWARDED
NAGA awards championship belts to all Children, Teen, Adult, Masters, Directors and Executive, Expert Division champions (Limit 1 belt per competitor per event). This award is unrivaled in quality and appearance.

SAMURAI SWORDS TO CHILDREN & TEENS WINNERS
NAGA will be awarding custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all non-expert Children & Teen 1st place winners (Limit 1 per competitor per event). Custom medals will be awarded to all 2nd & 3rd place winners along with non-expert Adult division winners. Adult competitors who place 1st and win a gold medal will have the opportunity to obtain a samurai sword at the NAGA T-shirt booth for a nominal fee. All children (13 and under) who do not place 1st through 3rd will take home an award.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CUPS AWARDED
NAGA awards customized championship cups to the tournament team champions. A cup can be won in: Adult Overall, Adult No-Gi, Adult Gi, and Children & Teens Overall. Please make sure your team registers under the same team name. Do not miss this opportunity to showcase the talent that your team possesses.

All Children competitors receive a free NAGA drawstring backpack. The backpack is picked up at the event.

Directions: FROM BOSTON: Take 93 south to Rte 3 South to Exit 13(Hanover). Take a right off the off ramp onto Rte 53. The University is located about two miles down on the left. FROM MASS PIKES & POINTS WEST: Take Rte. 123 to Rte 139 Rockland. Follow Rte. 139 till it intersects Rte. 53 at a stop light. Take a left at the light (now on 53) and we are a 1/2 mile on the right.
