2014 NAGA GERMANY GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP
On Saturday, 24 May 2014, the world’s largest grappling tournament circuit, NAGA, returns to Germany for the 2014 NAGA Germany Grappling Championship. Last year’s event was a big success. Due to the tremendous support, we are expanding to more competition rings and a larger venue. This tournament is open to all grappling styles and all competitors. You do not need to be on a team or be a member of any organization to compete. NAGA welcomes both individuals and teams to participate in this event.
CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS AWARDED TO ALL EXPERT WINNERS
NAGA will be awarding our new style, laser cut CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS to all its Children, Teen, Adult, Masters, Directors and Executive Expert Division Winners (Limit 1 per competitor per event). This award is unrivaled in quality and appearance.
REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT
NAGA offers competitors two ways to register for this event, pre-registering online or registering at the event. Those wanting to pre-register must do so by 16 May 2014. All major credit cards are accepted (follow directions on the registration website concerning how to enter country and state codes). Click the "PRE-REGISTER ONLINE HERE" link above to register online. Those registering at the event must pay with cash.
WEIGH-IN ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY
NAGA is offering all competitors the option of registering and weighing-in the night BEFORE the tournament at the event venue from 18:00 to 20:00. If you cannot make it on Friday, all adult competitors can register/weigh-in on Saturday up until their division begins. Registration opens on Saturday at 8:00. All Children/Teens need to be registered and weighed in by 10:00 on Saturday. You do not need to weigh-in with your gi on.
RULES FOR THIS EVENT
Standard NAGA rules will be used for this event and all future NAGA European events. Standard NAGA No-Gi rules allow the use of heel hooks and neck cranks for adult no-gi divisions. Children and teen divisions allow submissions but limit which ones can be used. Please consult the NAGA Rulebook and rules videos located HERE.
GET YOUR GRAPPLING GEAR AT THE EVENT
NAGA will be bringing to the tournament grappling gear (board shorts, rash guards, t-shirts, hats, hoodies, etc.) in children and adults sizes, for males and females. Check out the huge selection of gear and apparel at NAGA Germany.

NATIONALLY RANKED EVENT
All NAGA events are part of the nationwide ranking system entitled RANKED. Our goal is to determine who the best grapplers in the country are for various age, gender, and skill levels. This tournament will be nationally ranked so do not miss your opportunity to gain points towards a true national title. More details can be found at www.nationallyranked.com.
NAGA works diligently to prevent "sandbagging", or the practice of fighting down skill levels to ensure one takes home an award. NAGA has been working with RANKED to track all fighters and ranked grappling events to produce true "national standings." A by-product of these standings is our knowledge of who has competed and at which level. Front door personnel will use RANKED data to determine whether or not individuals who have fought in past events belong in a higher skill level (i.e. placed 1st at a prior NAGA event).
