Cage Rage At The Diamond, Desert Diamond Casino- Sahuarita, AZ On March 5th, 2016, Ringside Promotions, LLC & RUF MMA; known for putting on spectacular and exciting events in the state of Arizona, and at other Native Casinos, now brings you their 1st MMA (mixed martial arts) Cage Fighting event called "Cage Rage At The Diamond", to be held at The Desert Diamond Casino, 1100 W. Pima Mine Rd, Sahuarita, AZ 85629. The Desert Diamond Casino; surrounded by beautiful views on the Tohono O’odham Reservation, is a spectacular venue to host these continuous sell out fights full of excitement and showmanship of true mixed martial arts at its best! Headlining "Cage Rage At The Diamond" is the reigning 185 MMA Belt Champion “Eddie Arizmendi” who is no stranger to Tucson and to the Tohono O’odham Nation. Arizmendi a Tribal member of the Tohono O’odham nation, fights out of APEX gym in Tucson, AZ has roots that go back to earlier days when RUF MMA was doing shows in Nogales Mexico, where he fought alongside fellow current UFC stars: Ryan Bader, CB Dollaway and Cain Velasquez. Arizmendi is now on a win streak and is poised to continue his win streak against a hard-nosed Muay Thai Kickboxer veteran “Nicholas Salantri”, coming out of Prescott, AZ. When asked how he felt about fighting at the Desert Diamond Casino again, Arizmendi stated “I am very happy to be finally fighting in front of my people again, the Tohono O’odham Nation-it’s great to be back at the Diamond”. Our co-main event is going to sizzle the rocks off the diamond where popular “Raymond Pina” from South Tucson, will be fighting anthony Wray from Safford, AZ. Pina, a 3 X State Wrestling Champ from Sunnyside High School in Tucson, AZ, has one of the biggest followings in AZ MMA and has fought in Bellator in pervious battles. His army of followers is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. “He brings so many people it’s almost like he has his own tribe to all his fights and they are super charismatic” says promoter Joel Lopez. However, Wray, is the current RITC champ and is ready for this war between him and Pina. Can’t wait to see this bout!
