TUF 14
Hey guys and gals I just wanted to give you a little info on how I became part of TUF 14. It all really started with Brent Todd from MMArecap.com. Todd had sent me a message threw e-mail about the try outs and how I should go to try out in Jersey. I wanted to, but at the time really didn't have the money. I had just came off a pretty bad injury with my shoulder and had not fought in a few months. My AC joint in my shoulder had a pretty bad tear from training and it was not looking good for me at the time. I knew if I went to the tryouts I really wouldn't be able to give it my all and show the best of my abilities. Thank god I have a girlfriend that supports me the way she does. She would not give up. She started putting together HL videos and helped me build a great portfolio to send to the UFC. I also had the help from Mark Fiore who REALLY helped me at this point. He made a few phone calls and was able to start helping me get my shoulder healthy as quick as possible. About a month into the training camp things started to really go down hill though due to situations that I couldn't help. The gym (Hitsquad) had just been bought out and was going through A LOT of changes at the time and I was always having to look for training partners and it was starting to get to the point that it was causing to much stress. So I moved to my girlfriends house in southern Illinois. The only problem with this was that the only gym I had to go to was a local college rec center which did not offer a up to date mma program. I knew what I had to do and started putting myself through workouts like running on the treadmill on a incline of 10 with the speed set to 10/11 running sprints 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off for 20 mins. I did this for about 3 weeks leading up till the point in which I had to fly to Vegas. My weight was great! I was walking around at 152lbs the day I had to fly out. I felt great!!! When I got to vegas it was all or nothing for me and I kept telling myself nothing was going to stop me. I cannot tell you how many times I would just stop and pray within the first 24 hours upon arrival. But I am going to stop here and I will be back to tell you more after the 21st. Now that you have read this please go to the link and "like" my fan page for more updates. Thank you guys
