Fighter Bio
Career
Clark began training in MMA in Summer 2005 Clark was born and raised in southeastern Minnesota. At birth, he lived on a farm north of Dover, MN. In 1993, his family moved to Eyota, MN.
In 2003, he graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in Eyota, MN, Clark attended Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN, for one year. At Hamline, he was a member of the football and track teams. He then transferred to Saint Cloud State University, which he left after one semester. He then attended Rochester Community and Technical College for one semester. Clark began attending Winona State University in Fall of 2005 majoring in English with a minor in education. He has stated that he intends to become a high school English teacher after graduating [1].
Clark is also known for his stunning good looks, affection for and skill in gardening, and sense of fashion.
Clark's amateur debut fight was in October 2005 at the Mower County Fairgrounds in Austin, MN. He won by armbar in the first round.
The UFC signed Clark to a contract in Fall 2006. In his first national fight, Clark defeated Steve "The Sergeant" Byrnes at UFC Fight Night at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar on December 13, 2006 by unanimous decision.
Clark fought in the WEC on January 20, 2007, in Las Vegas, NV, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino versus Blas Avena. Clark won the fight in the third round via TKO.
