Sources close to the bout confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that verbal agreements are in place for the lightweight contest as of Friday.

Following a long stint outside the Octagon, Yves Edwards finally made his return to the UFC in 2010 and since that time he’s amassed a 3-2 record overall.

The master of ‘Thugjitsu’ lost a close decision to former Ultimate Fighter winner Tony Ferguson in his last bout before suffering an arm injury that forced him out of his last scheduled bout against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC on Fuel TV 3 in May.

The man that replaced Edwards in that bout will also end up being his next opponent.
