Fighter Bio
Career
"The Assassin" Houston Alexander born March 22, 1972 in East St Louis, Illinois, USA., He's currently fighting at light heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was fighting in obscurity in small clubs in Iowa, working as a DJ at a hip-hop radio station in Omaha, Nebraska, and lecturing elementary school students on the hip-hop culture. He made his UFC debut on May 26, 2007 against Keith Jardine., one of the top light heavyweights in the world, on a UFC pay-per-view card in front of a sellout crowd at the MGM Grand Garden.
Alexander is a part-time DJ for NGR Media and hosts a two-hour hip-hop show, featuring a lot of independent musicians, for Power 106.9, KOPW-FM, in Omaha. It gives him, he said, a chance to do what he loves: playing, listening to and talking about hip-hop. He is at this point only a part time fighter.
He's currently been training wrestling for about seven years, his trainers are Mick Doyle and Willie Stewart and Curlee Alexander.
