Andrew "Strong Island" Montanez lives in Mineola, New York on Long Island. He is a personal trainer and manager a gym(Fitness Alternatives)in Port Washington, NY.
Wrestled at Mineola High School and was 2x Nassau County All-Star and 4x Empire State Game Qualifier in Freestyle.Wrestled under Paul Schmidt for the Nassau Community College Lions where they won a NJCAA National Championship. Currently training with 4x BJJ World Champion Emerson Souza and his manager Steve Katz of Team Rhino in Long Island City, New York.

Born in New York City, wrestled on Long Island at Mineola High School. Was a 2x Long Island Wrestlin All-Star and a NYC Freestyle Wrestling Champion. Wrestled at Nassau Community College where they won a NJCAA Wrestling Title.
Was an undefeated Vale Tudo fighter, fighting in 14 no rules contests taking place in New York City and Long Island. Fought fighters from 145 pounds to a man over 300 pounds.
Currently lives in Los Angeles, and is the National Fighting Championship's Middleweight Champion.

Current Host of MMA Surge, veteran of over 25 pro MMA bouts as well as a 2x Strikeforce veteran. Won the National Fighting Championships Middleweight crown in 2010 before hanging up the gloves due to a back injury. Now choreographs fight scenes in Hollywood and is a working actor/stuntman.
