Career
Alvin "The Kid" Robinson (born in West Covina, California) is an American professional mixed martial arist. He is the current Ring of Fire lightweight champion. He became the champion by defeating Luke Caudillo by rear naked choke in the first round of a fight on December 10, 2005. He is also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Royce Gracie. Robinson trains with John Crouch, a black belt in BJJ under Gracie, in Denver, Colorado.
Robinson, who holds a professional MMA record of 9-1. Robinson counts the rear naked choke as his favorite fighting technique, and he’s shown an unwavering affection for the finisher throughout his two year pro MMA career, as he’s ended five of his nine wins with the hold.
