Damn. I like Miocic but the dude was still heated. Probably because they thought Francis was going to finish him. Plus he didnt get much promotion from the company as Francis did. Stipe is the man! I dont know who can beat him at this point.

Miocic is Croatian for Woodley

...Nah the UFC did try to fuck him and it was plain to see they wanted him to lose. Idk why though, dude doesn't pull out of fights, had 4 first rd finishes, 3 of which were championship fights, and is blue collar as fuck. No wonder their company is sinking.

Top 3 or 4 HW of all time at this point. If he beats up Velasquez could be spoke about as number 1.

A shame that he’s basically cleared out his division now.

and how biased the UFC are in regards to fighters, im sick of hearing “fans” justify this as UFC is a business, NO its a sport that should respect rankings and leave the emotion/bias to the fans and just provide a format where fights and titles are earned.. fuck thinking about how much money can be made and moving the goalposts for certain fighters.

That's not the fight business...

I don't want MMA to follow the format of other pro leagues where the participants give comically bland answers that are rehearsed from the time they are 12 years old. I like that in MMA you can garner a level of hype and interest by using your mouth. In Francis' case he did through some great performances and having an interesting story. He was clearly a worthy contender, he earned that shot.

Earned that shot feasting on Stipe's left overs... Ok.

I noticed after Buffer announced the result in the cage, Stipe grabbed the belt from Dana and gave it to his coach to put around his waist. Does he always do that? Or was it a result of feeling slighted by the UFC?

Totally agree im not against people talking trash etc i like people being themselves whether it appeals or infuriates it creates emotion which is needed but think the UFC brass should stay well clear showing any favouritism which was obvious and disrespectful in the lead up to this fight

also my comment about ‘earning’ your shot wasnt specifically aimed at Ngannou (although he did benefit from a shallow division which is no fault of his own) but more aimed at the general way UFC is going

The fuckin guy doesn’t help himself, for all I know he was speaking Croatian in his after fight interview with Joe,he needed subtitles. Ngannou speaks better English. The only bit I caught was the “belt don’t mean shit” and “I’m having a baby”. Well if it don’t mean shit stop moaning.

He can’t complain about not being promoted when he has to be dragged kicking and screaming to do any media.

If the ufc don’t promote you as well as you think they should then ask yourself why.

Notice that he didn't let Dana put the belt on him? Ripped it and gave it to his cornerman.
