Interesting.

Around 1997 I did an experiment to see how long I could fast while maintaining a normal lifestyle including mma/bjj training during the week.

I only allowed myself to consume black coffee (no sugar or any other additives) and water.

The hunger pains were just for the first few days. I remember on day 3 and 4 I developed a really bad headache and became very lethargic. That's normal though as the conversion from carbs to fat occurs (as I understand it..).

After that, I didn't have any hunger pains or any discomfort. The weird thing is that as the weeks went by, I actually began performing better in my physical training.

The point I knew it was time to eat again when I was sitting in my cubicle at work and I sensed movement in my peripheral vision and felt and instinctive impulse to jump that prey.

So ya....that was in the morning. I had a light salad for lunch as a reintroduction to food. I gradually worked back up to eating normal again.

But man o man, that feeling...it was spooky. I really felt like a predator that day, so come up at me my prey bros.

Its just a tool

Its not a diet

Its a recommended period of eating cuz mericans are fat cuz they eat all day long, which in turn spikes ur insulin and makes u soft

Fack eating 6-7 small meals all day long

Tbh i have no idea if that part is true



But it does make sense that in the morning as soon as u eat something ur gonna have an insulin spike and use that bowl of cereal or whatever for fuel

As opposed to fasting for 4-5 hours in the morning where im burning fat

So the increase of growth hormone may not be true but by not eating in the morning ur burning fat
