Kwang - The NFL players hold all of the power here. If they had any balls every player in the league would kneel this weekend. If they suffer consequences then just refuse to play.

They would all be out of a job. They know who butters their bread.

You don't think the NFL learned in the late 80's that people don't want to see scab players?

What if they put this rule in and they kneel during the playoffs? Are you going to suspend someone for the Superbowl?

What if up to the time of the playoffs and Superbowl players were in fact having to sit out the game because they refused to stand during the anthem. So one is a stupid player if one isdumb enough to do this during the playoffs/Superbowl. So YES, bench them even during the Playoffs and Superbowl.

Go to youtube and type in 'poilce brutality' watch a couple hours of videos. You're delusional, have no consept of reality concerning the entire matter. I hope you're trolling.

Lazer, are you denying his assertion that no country in the history of the world has been better for people of color?

I don't think I'm an expert on that TBH. I see the point as moot either way. There is unfair treatment or there is not. Do you have a source anyway?

Lol at this garbage

I can't believe im engaging a troll

But oh well

So u can't even come to the conclusion that America is the greatest country ever for people of color, but ur an "expert" on police brutality based off of some YouTube videos

Brilliant!!!!

Ur a funny guy

Nice twist. I only said there was video evidence.

Sure because he says what you want to hear. It does not make it correct does it? The president said what the nazi's wanted to hear. That did not make it correct either did it?

Waiting on sources proving that there is no more racism (more white people killled per captia than black people by police). Or one can just read this thread carefully and understand the denial on inequity is really something MUCH more.........

NO WAIT

"According to the most recent census data, there are nearly 160 million more white people in America than there are black people. White people make up roughly 62 percent of the U.S. population but only about 49 percent of those who are killed by police officers. African Americans, however, account for 24 percent of those fatally shot and killed by the police despite being just 13 percent of the U.S. population. As The Post noted in a new analysis published last week, that means black Americans are 2.5 times as likely as white Americans to be shot and killed by police officers.'

You're living in a fantasy world. A world where Trump has done/won something inside the position he holds. That he accomplished something in office. His own party will not debate that is a falsehood (imagine lol!). What was done? Healthcare, budgit, what?

A world where this country itself has not commited gross injustices.

By understanding the issues that REALLY exist we become stronger as we work to slove them logically.

I wanted Trump to be a great president as he was/is a nationalist NOT a globalist traitor. It's not his fault, he just can't do it. All he can do (tries to do) is further divide.

He has a live audience for this comedy......... I'm done here

Lol at this dumb shit. Universities are full of football players and everyone of them wants to go pro. Every NFL player is expendable and can be replaced at the drop of a hat. The players have zero power here.

How much more nationalistic do you need to be? Does it not bother you that the nfl has been politicised, the weirdness of it all? Isn't  it strange that people  are fixated that the national anthem has to be played before each game?

What does politics have to do with football?

No, the question that should be asked is why is it necessary to play the national anthem at a football game? Why is it necessary that a game be infused with nationlistic pride?

Is it necessary because one gets to reaffirm their patriotism in front of masses of people?

Is that what it is?

It is clear to me that Trump is unable to unite people in any shape or form. A true leader can polarize people without intimidation and this is what it is: pure intimidation where one has to fall in line in a weird fascist way.

This is all just extremely weird, and if you are unable to see thru that, then maybe some deeper soul searching is in order.

The consumer wields the hammer here, not the players. Even though I completely disagree with you I wish the players would take a knee. Please take a knee and lets see what happens.

People like you will never get it. Not all people agree with you and they are a large portion of the population.

People tune into the NFL for a well produced sporting event not social commentary. Misguided social commentary at that.

what you ppl aren't getting is the NFL is just entertainment. if something pisses someone watching off, they dont have to justify it to anyone nor does it have to make any sense. They dont like how it makes them feel so they wont pay for it. This is going to have major ramifications for the NFL for the long-term all because they were scared of pissing off extreme leftists. Kaepernick should have been heavily fined immediatley and the NFL should have made a blanket ban on any political speech afterwards but the owners are little scared pussies so now it's going to cost them

Ive talked to 5 ppl in the last month that casually mentioned it to me out of the blue when I ask them about the weekend football games at work. They must be getting killed. Fuck the NFL for bringing politics into sports.

I really want done with this. Last post

I don't know why guys want to try to walk in other peoples shoes. No clue

So I take it that we both were raised under tenable socioeconomic conditions. We were not discriminated against as well (I assume). Imagine growing up in very harsh conditions, no dad & mom at work. All the kids in gangs around. Drugs and murder in the streets.

It's not that easy to go from A to B (B being a normal productive person). Can you see that?

Hope all is well with you and your family man BTW! All the best........ I'm out

when the UK national anthem was playing, the NFL players stood.  it wasn't because they are patriotic toward the United Kingdom.  it was a sign of common decency and respect.

when the US national anthem was playing, Usain Bolt who is a Jamaican national stopped an interview as a sign of common decency and respect.  Usain Bolt isn't being patriotic toward the US.

when the Canadian national anthem is playing, US NHL players continue standing as a sign of common decency and respect.  US NHL players aren't being patriotic to Canada.

when the US national anthem is playing, Canadian NHL players continue standing as a sign of common decency and respect.  Canadian NHL players aren't being patriotic to the US.

Standing during a national anthem is a sign of common decency and respect.  It isn't a patriotic act.  Kneeling during the national anthem is a sign of disrespect.

Yes, Trump "fixed it" and the NFL is capitulating, I will be sure to stand in my livingroom when the anthem is played. It will give me great pleasure in doing so, it will reafiirm my undying loyalty and patriotism to the cause.
