I'm sick of hearing people hate on LeBron, especially in context of Jordan.

LeBron is already top5 of all time at the very least. I put him at #3 behind Jordan and Kareem. But his career is not close to being done, and hes playing his best basketball of his career right now as we speak.

Of course, the only way to trash LeBron is to compare him to Jordan. That is unfair.

Let me preface this by saying that Jordan is #1 on my list, and unbelievably good. Him and LeBron play completely different styles so its hard to compare.

But just for the haters to see, LeBron can definitely hold a candle to MJ.

"Jordan was 6-0 in the finals"

That is an overrated stat. Jordan played in a weaker league, winning his championships during an era of expansion and low talent. By this logic, Bill Russell should be the GOAT, but we know the level of the league was very low back then.

The NBA is currently in a talent boom. The league has never been more skilled, more prepared, more athletic. LeBron dominates in an era much better than Jordans.

LeBron lead his team to the finals as a 22 year old, beating a very underrated Pistons team. Of course his finals record is worse, because he brought his team to more finals at a younger age! When Jordan was still learning how to be a winner, LeBron had already taken the reigns of a team and carried them to the promised land.

LeBron has taken his team to the 2nd round in EVERY playoff trip. Jordan was swept 2x by Boston. The 6-0 finals stat is just cherry picking crap.

"LeBron is relies on other stars to win"

LOL! The thread title alone debunks this.

Jordan played with AMAZING hall of fame talent. Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, all hall of famers. Other lesser known studs like Ron Harper and Toni Kukoc, were no joke either. BJ armstrong one of the best shooters ever.

And Jordan NEVER won without a solid supporting cast. I'd argue he even had MORE star supporters.

And on top of that, Jordan had a revolutionary coach in PJ. LeBron had to leave cleveland to get a decent coach.

"Jordan played against tougher competition"

FALSE! In fact, usually it was Jordan’s team who was the top dog and his teams beat on teams with lower records.

In his first Finals appearance, and his last three Finals appearances, James’ opponents had a better regular season record. Jordan’s opponents only had a better regular season record once (the Phoenix Suns).

LeBron was an underdog in the majority of his finals appearances. The 73 win warriors were better than any team Jordan got past in the finals. And the Spurs too.

Who did Jordan have to get by in the east... Reggie miller and Patrick ewing? LOL.

Anyways.

I think Jordan and LeBron are alot closer than most people make it seem like. And I think by the time LeBron retires, he will be undisputable #1. Only time will tell though. Let's see how his career unfolds.

Tell me why I'm wrong.

Players 3 through 15 are much better than they were 30 years ago.

The top 1-3 players on each team can be comparable to before, but the overall talent and skill level has increased TREMENDOUSLY.

You made it that far? You deserve a medal.

If anything, at least OP is consistent at one thing...making shitty, ridiculous ass threads.

No. I have him Top 10.

If he can win a couple of more with this Cleveland team, he will probably be Top 5.

I stopped skimming when I saw OP claimed that Jordan played in a weaker league.

ELL OH ELL.

I'll take the Bird Celtics, Showtime Lakers, or Bad Boy Pistons over any team in the league now.

This.

Can't put Lebron above guys like Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, or Hakeem.

Taking centers out he still has to compete with guys like Magic, Bird, Duncan, and Kobe.

Notice that Jordan didn't win a championship when those teams were in their prime?

Dawg.

Look at his body of work. You can't deny he is already top 5.

And Hakeem is legit my favorite player of all time. I love Shaq too.

The softer league of today is Taylor made for Lebron.

Those Bulls teams of the 90's -- especially 96-98 -- would put a beating on any of Lebron's finals teams. Lebron would be in the sideline in tears after Pippen and Rodman tag teamed him for couple games. Bulls win within 5.

The 90's was better and more competitive than today. Lebron gets to walk into the finals every year because there is no competition in the east.

I'm not even sure Lebron's teams could handle the Pacers that took The Bulls to 7.

Don't kid your OP. Lebron is great. But he is no where near MJ. Lebron could win the next 4 in a row -- MJ would still be better.
