Cuck Sanders had his chance to stand up to the corrupt DNC, but he chose to sell out instead and even worse tried to get his base to sell out to them as well

LOL This is the party that doesn't even think you should have to be an American in order to vote for President, but you have to be a Democrat in order to run?

To be fair — I can see why the Dems would want their representatives to be Dems. Having an independent run who is left of the party ideology causes some issues internally (see 2016 election).

The Dems could encourage him to just join the party.

He could also join the Democratic Socialists of America and run on their ticket.

Dems dropped the ball on the outsider-fever in ‘16. They’d likely hold the executive branch had they supported the Bernster and rallied against neoliberalism.

That's extremely divisive. The Democrats should be building bridges, not walling off their candidacy.

The e-mail leaks re: Bernie sank them. Not sure what you guys are upset about. I would love to see the Democrats shift left — but it’s the party of centrist neoliberals who aren’t fans of Bernie’s socialism (that’s why he’s not a Democrat).

In ‘16 they worked to fuck him. They straddled the fence pretending to reform superdelegates (the system they had in place to prevent a populist like Trump from winning the nomination in the first place), but ultimately I think they want to run a regular ol’ Democrat in 2020.

& Bernie should join the DSA anyway. That’s his platform.

Bernie lost whatever manhood he may have had at the democratic convention.   He had the opportunity to stand for his principles and go down fighting, and he decided to give Hillary a verbal blowjob and bend over for the party that screwed him.

He should go back to writing masturbation porn.

So again — Bernie isn’t a Democrat. The only reason he caucuses with them is because the other option is to align with the Republican party, which is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.

Bernie doesn’t want to identify completely with the Dems — smart move.

The Dem elite don’t want Bernie to represent the party — okay.

We should be thinking a multi-party system.

I actually said something along that line to a bunch of Bernie Bros at a bonfire party late in the primary process. I was the only Republican in the group, and these were hardened Bernie Bros. One was president of his county's Democratic Party, one is a Bernie-endorsing Democratic city councilman, and around five of them were Bernie delegates to the Democratic Convention in Philly.

I avoided any real political talk with them, but most of the conversation was political in nature, mostly making small jokes and concentrating on not burning my hot dogs. My good friend in the group (who invited me) did me a solid and waited until around 11 pm, when they were having a huge rage-filled anti-GOP circle jerk, to casually drop, "Hey, you know he's a Republican. He even did a GOP outreach booth at a Gay Pride event." They all started berating me at the same time, and when one of them asked me why I wouldn't support Bernie Sanders, I told them, "Honestly, it doesn't have anything to do with politics. I just can't bring myself to seriously consider someone who is such a gigantic pussy."

It was like I had shit in their tents. A lot of real anger came from them, and I wasn't even really called on to defend my statement. One of the guys wanted to fight, drunk and angry, and I thought "Holy shit I've never beaten up a vegan." After a little while, cooler heads prevailed, but I was not invited to the next barbecue.

It's a shame, because that had been a fun evening. It's interesting to watch people who you disagree with talk about their views, among friends. It was seeing a complete 180 from myself and my friends. Mostly what I saw was a group of people that got into politics later in life (late 20's, early 30's), and not having paid any attention prior to the Bernie wave, had no idea about the realities of politics.

If Bernie runs again I'm going to attend at least one meeting of his Berniecrats. They're awesome, in a vegetarian way.

Exactly. Complete idiots.

You would think they would LEARN from the last election where all Trump had to do was pretend he was a Republican.

Eh, they absolutely screwed him during the primaries last time but I see no problem with this new rule, esp. since they are establishing it well in advance.

The DNC wants Democratic candidates to run in the democratic primary. I don't see why that is seen as controversial.

Besides, Bernie will caucus with dems and use the DNC platform to run as a presidential candidate no problem.

If he wants to continue hanging off that sweet, sweet democratic teet, get the D out his ass and put in next to his name.

Just like his idol Karl Marx, a complete bum who never accomplished shit in life. Bernie lacks the stones to just come out as a communist, so of course he'll do as he's told by the party leaders.

Also, the video OP posted is really odd.

It's a soyboy railing against the corrupt and elite "establishment" DNC while at the same time whining because his septuagenarian socialist hero isn't being given an automatic seat at the table anymore.

the dem party primaries are all for show anyway. they have their mechanisms to ensure their pre-picked stooge is always the candidate.

But if he runs on another ticket, he'll take Dem votes away from them, guaranteeing they lose to a united republican party
