Barao: Dillashaw just thinks he's a striker

Renan Barao will defend his UFC bantamweight title against Team Alpha Males TJ Dillashaw at this weekend's UFC 173. Dillashaw earned a title fight by winning five of his last fights and because of an injury to Raphael Assuncao who couldn't take the fight.

Dillashaw has looked great in those wins and has been winning mostly with his striking, which Barao believes could be a mistake for him if he tries the same strategy:

"I believe T.J. [Dillashaw] thinks he is a striker now, and he isn't," Barao told Bleacher Report through the assistance of a translator. "I think he will mess up and make mistakes in this fight, and this will present the chance for me to finish him. I'm very calm and ready for this fight, and I believe I will win this fight because I'm the better fighter."

I believe T.J. is going to get finished whether he thinks he's a striker, a grappler or Batman.

I dont understand how a guy with 10 fights that is 1-1 in his last two is considered a worthy challenger against the arguably p4f best fighter in the world right now.

Because the only other challenger is Assuncao who was injured. But really Dillashaw should have won the decision over Assuncao anyway so he should be riding the 6 fight win streak rather than Assuncao.

But really I don't think either stands much chance against Barao.

Dillashaw was very impressive in his last fight an I think he beat assuncao. Also there isn't a strong list of contenders at bantamweight Phone Post 3.0
