big one? You hear about it in all other sports. Best golfer to never win a major, best QB to never win a SuperBowl ect. So in the last 20 years in the UG's opinion, who was the best to never win a UFC or Pride championship??? Phone Post 3.0

Yeah I know but I don't know. Just rewatched the Penn title fight. He was so out classed. Didn't fare much better with Aldo...I'm not sure if Kenny was the best number 2 guy out there :-/ Phone Post 3.0

I'm goin Dave Terrell. He almost submitted Tanner to become MW champ. Fought once more than disappeared into the abyss. Imagine what could have been! Phone Post 3.0

I guess you could say Barnett, he won the UFC HW title from Randy but then got stripped of the title for steroids.

Ricardo Arona and Lil Nog. I don't think anyone else is close. It's not entirely their fault either. Phone Post

If we don't count tournament wins in pride or UFC, it's Igor V without a doubt.

Strictly championship belts. Sakuraba. Phone Post

Igor V was considered the best fighter on the planet at one point and Sakuraba was the best pound for pound. Phone Post

Do Shooto belts count? If not, than Sato and Aoki.

For fighters whom have fought in the UFC, i would go with Lindland and Lil' Nog.

Igor, Sak and Erickson were just not in the right place at the right time.

Mix6APlix - When did Terrell almost submit Tanner? I remember Tanner beating him so badly he was never the same. Phone Post
He got a vicious guillotine on him and Tanner survived it...Terrell seemed to just give up after that :-/ Phone Post 3.0

Wasn't the Shooto title a big deal when Sakurai had it? Phone Post

I would say maybe Karo. He just oozed raw potential and fell apart before he could put it together. And I am much bigger fan of many of his opponents, but damn did he seem like he was on track to be a force at one point. Phone Post 3.0
