He's done as a title contender, that much is clear...

He had one of the best chins in the game, probably in part due to his insane cardio (more oxygen to the brain). I think the Lawler 5 round brawl changed him.

He hasn't been the same after that fight.

Also, I don't think Rory McDonald's been the same after the second Lawler fight either.

I love that the ref shakes his head and turns away from the unholy ascension before him.

Perhaps a rematch with Rory may be in his future.

He definitely got rocked with that upkick and shot for the double out of desperation.

Was one of my all time favorites. Hate seeing him lose now.

As soon as he got married and had a kid I knew it was over.

Lost to a tough fighter, but the lack of a training camp for Oliveira definitely hurts Condit here.

I agree he's in his prime so to speak but the dude has alot of miles on him at 33.

His body looked different, less muscle.

When he was on top and decided to stand up, I was like "WTF are you doing!?" Then he proceeded to get up-kicked and get choked out. Why did you decide to stand Confit!? Why, god dammit!? WHY!?

I can’t remember the exact sequence of events that led to them standing, but IIRC Condit was trying to pass and Alex was trying to sweep, then because Condit tried to posture up I feel like there was some kind of scramble then Condit got up and you could tell he was trying to take side control then just got upkicked. I’m sure there are missing parts but I can’t remember the rest.

Was thinking the same thing. He should have just stayed with the elbows. Granted, Cowboy was getting a bit active on the offensive end as well, but maintain position and slow the pace down, then work your game.

He clearly isn't putting the time in training like he used to. He runs a business and I don't think he can be really be considered a full time fighter at this point.

War NBK, the most fun to watch fighter of all time

Condit was done before this fight.  Mentally done.

I saw an interview last year and his main focus is about his restaurant business and fighting is just to get the 2nd half of his career a boost.

It is what it is.  His age might seem still in his prime but when you factor in the NEED FOR HUNGER, his battle tested body/brain, he's past his prime.

One of my favorite all time fighters.  Time to hang them up though imo.  There are fighters who you recognize as elite of the elite.  He's been that most of his career and he is no longer, and I don't want to see a shell of what I know he used to be.

He's definitely one of those guys who's age is deceptive, he fought Frank Trigg at 22 with 17 pro fights already on his record and had multiple wars long before the lawler fight

Fiaz 1,2,5

Can't even spell Diaz, wants us to think he knows how to score a fight. That right had more rounds than there are letters in Diaz and you still couldn't get it right
