And about how Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve is a pretty tough first 2 fights. I was wondering if you guys can think of any other heavyweights who weren't already established stars (Cro Cop, Lesnar etc) who had a tougher first two fights in the UFC?

Travis Brown comes to mind. First 3 fights were McSweeney, Kongo and Struve

Interestingly, Christian Morecraft's first two fights were Struve and you, Sean.

If my MMAth is correct, that makes his first two fights in the UFC tougher (since you beat Hunt).

Dos Santos had Werdum and Struve for his 1st and 2nd UFC fights. And he was far from a star.

No. You are the toughest man of all time, or TOAT for short.

Seriously tho JDS had a baptism of fire but your fights have to be up there. Phone Post

Yea I was just thinking of other good examples, but Hunt and Struve is no doubt a tough welcoming party

Some of you people are missing out on the established star part, as in a relatively unkown entitiy coming into the  UFC Heavyweight Division and getting some very tough dudes for a first fight in the UFC.

Good point. JDS wasn't that well known though was he? Most of my examples were though

Look at Brock. He was a star but he didnt really have anything except for college wrestling and a fight against a can by the time he stepped into the octogon
