Blind Item #1

This now aging A+ list athlete in his corner of the entertainment world is making a money grab. He is going to announce a big event and ask to be paid a guarantee upfront. He will then bail on the event before it occurs, but keep the money.

Mayweather fighting in the UFC is the equivalent of those ‘would you get punched by fighter X for $10,000’ type threads.

He’s got no chance and probably knows he’ll take a beating on live TV, but he’ll make a boat-load of money for a few mins work, won’t have to train and the result won’t affect his legacy one little bit.

It’s a smart move. All he has to do is tap and take the cash.

If it does happen at least we can trust the UFC to stack the card, unlike what Floyds team did.

Yeah you can always count on the UFC to stack cards...

I don't believe this, this is a guy who was seen as the best boxer in the world for many years. He's not going to end his career by tapping like a bitch just for the money. His ego is way too big for that.

If he genuinely thinks that he can catch up to decades of MMA training (at his age) in a matter of months (or even years) he’s absolutely nuts.

McG’s loss to Mayweather doesn’t seem to have affected his career potential in the Octagon, and I don’t see it being any different with Floyd.

Mayweather might be the best boxer in the world, but how will that help him when he’s getting his legs kicked to a pulp or smothered on the ground?

It’s a different sport, and nobody will question Floyd’s boxing accomplishments/record if he gets choked unconscious for 500 million.
