He did amazing. I officially consider him a serious threat in the division, guy did AMAZING all things considered.
Also, props to TJ, amazing fight by both gentleman, and all people on the main card. Great night of fights. Phone Post 3.0

Yes he would have been top ten and probably would have earned a shot in a few fights regardless. I think he will be in the top 10 he's for sure a good fighter and well rounded Phone Post 3.0

He gave TJ more than TJ wanted. Soto landed lots of clean, hard shots Phone Post 3.0

Agreed. He surprised me as much as Dillashaw did when he fought Barao. Two times now title contenders have risen to the challenge and put on a damn good showing in that weight class.
It makes me wonder about Demetrious Johnson's upcoming fight... Phone Post 3.0

NORCAL707 - Soto would beat Barao on 24 hours notice. That's how good this guy is. Mark my words, he will hold that belt! Phone Post 3.0

No he wouldn't.

People get carried away with the 24 hours notice thing. He was scheduled to fight and was in shape. He had a change of opponent. He said it himself he trains for everything and trains for way more than 5 rounds. That's how 90% of professional fighters train. With that said stepping up to a title fight on short notice is a mental challenge and his performance was amazing. Major props Phone Post 3.0

Agree. Got to remember it was short notice. Game plans get thrown out and such.
10 is a good spot. 2-3 wins and he's set up for another shot. Phone Post 3.0

He looked small. Surely he's a natural 125lb'er? Phone Post 3.0

He did really great, imo. And considering he took the fight against TJ, who had the most impressive performance in his title winning fight against Barao that I´ve seen, on one days notice it makes him even more impressive. Also:: Just compare TJ´s face after the Barao fight to his face after the fight against Soto... TJ looked even worse then Soto himself. Definitely a future contender imo.
