Lauzon completes food decathlon

[The Underground]

Today at his new gym in Easton, MA Joe Lauzon competed in a food decathlon to prove his mettle outside the cage. Lauzon competed along side fellow UFC fighter Joe Proctor, former UFC fighter Dany Lauzon, and several friends and fight team members at Lauzon MMA.

The event was inspired by an argument between Lauzon and teammate Andy Aiello, who one day at lunch, aruged over who could eat more food. From that argument, an entire event was arranged, but Aiello who is making is professional debut in 14 days could not compete.

The contest? Eat ten consecutive fast food items and the fastest time, and also see who would eat the most food. In all, ten competitors took to the table and it was a man who guys by the nickname, Biggie, who took the fastest time prize eating all ten items in 14 minutes and 20 seconds. The ten items, which had to be eaten in order, where: a KFC double down sandwhich, a Five Guys cheeseburger, a Doritos Locos Taco, a small Wendy's Fry, five McDonald's Nuggets, a 10 oz. glass of milk, a slice of Papa Gino's Pizzas, two Dunkin Donuts, a Burger King Hershey's Pie and five double stuff Oreo Cookies.

Winner of the grand championship was a 145 lb. amateur fighter, Matt Pestena, who finished all his food in the challenge and then consumed an additional dozen Oreo cookies. Lauzon was able to complete the challenge, but only able to eat another six Oreo cookies. His brother, Dany Lauzon, made a strong effort, finishing all his food in less than 15 minutes and eating an additional eight Oreos. UFC fighter Joe Proctor was disqualified when he skipped several items and started dipping his Oreos into milk.

Competitors paid $25.00 to compete to cover the cost of food, specatators $5.00 and proceeds were donated to a local charity.

Want  a real story? why not document the DOZEN or so eating challenges that I have conquered, including eating Sunset Bar and Grille's Level 35 wings a week ago. These are arguably Singapore's hottest wings, and an established challenge. Having the UG News post this event up is like making a big deal out of a bunch of smoker fights on the UG. Hell, it might be entertaining, but we all know the true talent lies elsewhere.

Yeah, as soon as I saw KFC Double Down, I would be out.  Just the idea of eating one of those gives me chest pains.

RobinVanRooney - American food looks fucking glorious

ya that's just a typical american dinner right there, we usually follow it up with a dessert of a 12 oz tub of mayonnaise topped with brown sugar.

If I hang out with Joe Rogan and Nick Diaz and smoke one with them, I could eat all that while I am thinking of what to eat to calm my munchies.

Realistically I wouldnt get past the double down before falling asleep with stomach pains.
