Tim Sylvia trained there. I think he was asked not to come back though.

Pretty sure Luke's background is in grappling , he just happens to be constantly improving at kickboxing and is highly athletic so he tests himself Phone Post

Reminds me of the Milk Bar from A Clockwork Orange. Very cool. Couldn't be more different from your typical dungeon gym! Phone Post

this is true, i coached wresting in the same league where Luke went to high school in santa cruz. he was actively training in bjj at the time also. rolled with him several times both wrestling and bjj. he's very technical and his length can cause some real problems.

he won worlds gi and no-gi as a blue belt a few years back

Luke won gold at PURPLE in 2007, no gi.

He won gold at blue the same year in the gi. Yes he did two different belt divisions, lol.

The depth in the no gi mundials in 2007 was weak generally speaking but the point is Luke has been a BJJer for quite some time. He's not an MMA fighter who put on the gi once to roll with Mendes.

btw, Cain won the blue belt no gi in 2007 as well.
