Who wins this rematch? and why/how...

Personally I think Lyoto would win a split decision in fight 2, not a entertaining fight as both fighters would be cautious to try to mount an offense, just my opinion...

A split decision eh?

So you're saying one judge will see it differently than the other two judges. Hmmm...

It makes no sense so predict a split decision. A close decision, sure, but even the closest decision in the world is ideally unanimous.

Yes, but how do you even predict that?

I predict that two judges will see Machida winning and one judge that sees Rashad winning.

Every time someone predicts a split decision they get lectured like this.

Unfortunately for OP, they are right haha.

Ugh.

I see Machida winning 10 out of 10 times against Rashad and Rashad only making it close by being extremely tentative. If Rashad tries to take him down or Wall n Stall he get's finished.

What's wrong with thinking the fight would be close enough that one judge would disagree with the other two? Phone Post

I think the problem with predicting a split decision is that when predicting the outcome of a fight, if you say it will be a close fight that goes to decision then you're putting yourself in the position of a judge and saying that when you watch the fight, you believe the fight will go to Lyoto. But then you also watch the fight through the eyes of two more people, one who also thinks Lyoto wins, and one who thinks Rashad wins. But they are all just you haha

But so many fights end via SD that logically it makes sense that that is an option.

Any fight that's semi close has a decent chance of being a split decision with the way judging is right now. Phone Post

well, Rashad was mentally defeated in his first fight, big time. hopefully he shows up for that fight, he's got something to prove. And I am a big Evans fan.

I don't like how tentative Rashad has been in his last 2-3 fights, not a good sign.

Evans takes it.

Instead of talking shit, he'll be grinding out a decision. Phone Post 3.0

Not really he's just staying he sees the fight being so close it's a split decision. Meaning on of the 3 will think Rashad won it. Which usually occurs in supper close fights. Because we all know how people disagree on who actually won the fight and these judges can be terrible sometimes to say the least..... Phone Post 3.0

There are only a certain number of possible outcomes for an MMA fight. Split decision is one of them. I see no problem predicting this. Phone Post 3.0
