Someone mentioned Tuf 4 when Laimon trashed Rickson Gracie's mma record..I remember hearing Laimon in the corner of several mma fighters screaming his head off..how good was Laimon as a submission grappler? Was he a BJJ black belt? Was he a good mma coach? I haven't seen him in the corner lately, is he still involved in mma?

I remember him vs Dean Lister in a bout long long ago in Vegas. He handled Lister pretty effectively if I recall which was an accomplishment. Both were much younger then obviously.

I really should scan some of those old film day photos in.

I know that Matt Serra isn't a fan. That was one of my favourite TUF moments

Especially when Coté went "Fuck you Mark Lemon. LEh-MaN!"

He was very good. Incredibly annoying at tournaments and fights though.

One of the best in Vegas at a time when everyone was training in Vegas. Is he still coaching?

Didn't he move to the DFW area in Texas to work with Team Takedown several years ago?

Its amazing how he was practically everywhere at one point. Then he dicktucked to Matt Serra after running his mouth and now he's vanished.

I made a thread this morning asking if he had gone against Matt Serra in Sub grappling yet? As I had been watching Tuf 4 again. Would still love to see it.

One of the OG's from BHJJC. Got his black belt from John Lewis in like 2000 or 2001, I believe.

I used to get $20 privates from him when he was a blue belt and living on the couch at BHJJC...

Great thread. Dude just disappeared after being with TTD and Hendricks. And the part about him being kind of prickly?  I had 2 good friends in LV who trained at Cobra Kari and both said he was a tool, extremely talented but an absolute tool.

Also, if you watch the YouTube video of his GQ match vs Chris Brennan you can see him refuse to shake Brennan’s hand after the match.
