Matt Serra is one of the finest people I ever met in this sport. His remarks about when it is time to retire are really appreciated.

Weidman is Serra 2.0.

Except this time, Serra can make sure Weidman holds onto the belt.

I'm gonna miss Serra. Phone Post 3.0

I was backstage at UFC 90 and in the locker room where Matt Serra was. At the time I knew him only as a fighter and what was shown when he was on TUF. He came off as being loud and obnoxious so I wasn't a fan. After talking with him that night and seeing him interact with fans, he made me a fan of his. He was truly a down to earth genuine guy. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Phone Post 3.0

I agree. I'll give you a VTFU if you show up, Matt.

And thanks for the interview. I enjoyed it.

I did not like Serra at all in the early days of his UFC career. I didn't become a fan of his until he did the TUF Comeback season. He became one of my favorite fighters and favorite MMA personalities after that. Phone Post

He might be lost over in the OG at the moment. Matt told me that he's a big fan of the nerd question of the day. Phone Post

I have the audio mp3. It's awesome. He has words with a fellow NY driver in the middle of the interview. Phone Post

I remember when Matt first came on the scene, his BJJ was like nothing we'd seen before stateside. Crazy active, always going for the sub. I think the only comparison at that time fighting MMA was Sato. Best of luck to you Matt.

TTT for the terror!

I'm in commercial printing biz, and friendly with his manager. I got to print all the sponsor logos on his fight shorts for his last two fights. My BJJ instructor is also buddies with Matt, so he does seminars at our academy once a year or so.

Anyway, it's been a pleasure watching Serra compete, and an honor to get to be around him and learn BJJ from him. Phone Post 3.0

His Fight Camp Insider shows were good. Would like to see more.
