They need to bring back that reality.

Having these 0-1 cans fight is just awful.

The UFC brand wasn't built upon a regional show with regional matchmaking.

Now the fans are conditioned to it, they co-sign politicking, playing the stock market. Inactivity is the new norm.

The entire Welterweight top 10 isn't scheduled.

Remember when you had to be an undefeated fight, and most of you wins had to be stoppage. Now so many people play the points game.

I Remember when I would cut out the little clinch pad thingy that was on the bottom of those Harbinger bag gloves, and turn them into "MMA" gloves.

I would wrap saran wrap around my hands and those were my homemade MMA gloves for my matches with my old stuffed animals.

Yes. Remember when they were all quality cards?

Revisionist history.  Everyone has complained about every card (maybe not so much 100).  They only appear stacked years later when you see some of these guys careers.

UFC has pretty much always sucked with the exception of a few years there after they became a monopoly and every fighter was juiced to the gills. At least back then we weren't watching waffle house waitresses peck their way to split decisions. Hunching existed but at least it wasn't hunching with these generic hunchers like a Harvey Hunchstein(3-2, UFC debut) vs Hunch De La Riva(4-4, lost on TUF but is here anyway) kinda guys who can't even really wrestle they just lay against the cage punching each others ribs trying to get a 10-9. UFC has always had its fair share of bums. Before Reebok people have probably thought a fighter was sponsored by Jiffy Lube but he was just walking to the ring in his work uniform. UFC now has like 500 people on the roster but can only put together like 10 fights a year anyone wants to see. Let's say they put on 450-500 fights a year, very few of those are going to be relevant to the weight class or involve athletes in their prime. A huge portion will be mediocre club guys and the rest is just filler which is nothing more than watching poor people hurt other poor people for fun. Might as well just watch WorldStarHipHop and LiveLeak if you need your Saturday night fix of watching poor people change their lives for the worse over something they have no business doing.

Inn some cases I agree but overall that's just not true.

But I don't understand the too many card discussion.
It's been discussed to death 100 times over, and people refuse to accept that the sport has grown and therefore there is a need for more fighters and events.

It's like only demanding Champions league matches on TV.

That's a cop out. There does NOT need to be 500-600 ufc fighters period, not now, not last year, not 10 years ago and not even 10 years from now.

That's not true. Just choose any old UFC card at random. 135 for example had Jones, Rampage, Koscheck, Hughes, Hunt, Rothwell, Browne, Nate Diaz and Gomi, and then Boetsch, Ferguson, Mizugaki on the prelims. That was a good card at the time but would be card of the year today.
