It was really tough to watch. BJ himself pretty much answered my question from another thread about him retiring after the Nick or Rory fights, saying he just needed to know if he could still do it or not, and he can't.
When he said that, I gained even more respect than I had already for him. As a man, it's tough to admit when someone is better than you, when you just can't do something you once could with no problem, and BJ did just that.
He will always be remembered as a legendary fighter, in pretty much any weight class you can imagine! And like he said, he was just an ordinary man. So long to a living legend, I came into this sport as a fan late so I didn't get to see BJ in his prime, but that won't change my respect for him.
WAR BABY JAY!
