He started MMA training with Rico Chiperelli back in the day and moved on and never looked back giving him no credit and moved onto superstatus in the UFC walking over anyone in his path whether it was divorcing his wife, building Team Couture with that other chick then leaving her...ect ect...now he screws the company that built his name and has done EVERYTHING for him and signed with the competition. Yes its a free country and business is business but this guy has no memory...

So your logic is that if someone helps you in any way you've got to stick by them and never better yourself or seek other experiences or opportunity in any way?

 

Handy was an independant contractor, he made the UFC a lot more dollars than they made him.

He is free to pursue whatever career choices he wants IMO, they don't owe eachother anything.

Loyalty to a former employer seems a little misplaced. If you worked for Ford and retired and were no longer drawing a paycheck would you turn down an offer from GM? And would Ford fire you when you no longer useful to them?

Actually when the UFC pulled a very unexpected move and released the fighter pay for once, it turned out Couture was full of shit, the UFC had paid him alot, and he was really embarassed...

But wait, don't put me on the side against Couture lol I think he has the right to do, and should do whatever the fuck he wants.

Just pointing out something a lot of ppl probably forget. I only know him from fights so Couture is an all time favorite, but I've read alot from reporters or sites who've found him to be a dick. Two of my friends also got snubbed by him, but again all this is hearesay and moot


He worked for the UFC, he's now getting better offers elsewhere...

more power to him, regardless of your personal opinion on the Natural

Ryan sure is lucky he "won" his fight against Noons.

They will lay employees off at any time, executives will pay themselves a bigger bonus and go on their merry way. Oh and the CEO will get a ever fatter paycheck regardless of performance.

haha i love it good for randy. dana eevntually hopefully his childish antics catch up to him. i mean seriously why wouldnt he sign randy to long term contract like other fighters?' its danas childish behavior thats all. good for randy. hopefully in the future there is more orgs and competition that way the figthters will get more leverage. good job randy and wish you nothing but success

It's shocking that post-career, some fans see a fighter doing television work for another promotion as disloyalty or a mark of low character.

Fighters need to be able to FIGHT for competing promotions during the prime of their careers, or else they will get the shaft in contract negotiations.

Did Randy do dishonest things in his career? Yes. Is this one of them? No.
