Elbows on the ground or knees to head on ground?

Elbows create huge cuts and are easier to land or cause cut when on ground

knees on ground cause concussions easier Phone Post

Elbows (with a few notable exceptions) cause short term, superficial damage. Knees, when thrown properly, can fuck you up for a good long while.

They should both be allowed in MMA, but if I had to choose one it would be knees on the ground. There are too many "safe" positions a fighter can get into where he is safe from almost any effective attack (turtle, three point stance, sloppy takedown, etc.).

With the awesome cut men they have people that are new to watching might cringe at the blood but then realize it's not really that bad of a cut when it's stopped. Eli Manning ran off the field once with blood coming off his face like a faucet was turned on. Bryce Harper sliced his eye brow hitting a bat against a wall and went on the field with blood running down his face. Once the bleeding is stopped people can come to terms with it easily

A knee on the ground only has to snap one neck or cave one skull and we are one step back into the McCain days.

Caved skull, broken neck? really?

Knees on the ground were allowed in other orgs for years and neither ever happened.

Knee drops should be kept disallowed just like 12-6 elbows.

I knee on the ground can cause a ko and avoids the false safe zones. Same as knees when standing.

Elbows while standing require some tech as opposed to elbows on the ground which primarily serve to cut and mangle faces.

IMO blood faucets are more graphic than KOs Phone Post

Career ending or not, the UFC does not want to explain that fighters are going to the hospital with brain injuries at the post fight presser
