On Diego. He looks like he strikes the back of Sanchez's head, a foul, with that brutal elbow. Anybody else see this?

Probably hit near the ear & it looked like Diego turned into it.

If your name is Diego it probably was. Painful looking for sure.

No, it is like when a guy throws a head kick that lands to the back of the head, happens all the time in kickboxing, despite the fact you cant punch the back of the head.

Diego ducked. It also hit him behind the ear. Not illegal. What they tell us in fighter meetings is if you punch and your glove touches ear you're good. This looks like elbow landed behind ear, but forearm didn't. Plus with Diego moving it just happened. Not illegal, imo.

It's not a foul if you target the legal targets and a person ducks into it.

Come on KKM.

I can understand why it could look illegal, but an arcing elbow took out Sanchez. That’s the long and short of it.

Elbows hurt.

Hitting the back of the head is only in the clinch or on the ground where targeting is only one person's doing.

Sick of people wanting these technicalities, where's the PRIDE in this sport anymore? Brown laid that motherfucker out, I don't care if the elbow landed a quarter inch behind the ear or a half inch behind the ear, it was a great knockout and the damage is done.

FRAT: In the old days people had enough pride to take these L's and carry on, not worry about if the elbow that hit them was 1 cm too far to the back of the head.

No. As has been said, it was not in the mohawk region, and Diego turned his head away from the strike, putting the responsibility of the landing area on him, not Matt Brown. Completely legal and brutal finish.

Agree. Thought so to. Looks like the elbow makes a nice arch around the head a hits far (too far) behind the ear... Nasty, but don't believe it was intentional.

It wasn't like it was directly at the back of the head, looked more like the side to me

Back of the head but doubt he was going for that area. As others have said Diego ducked into it
