NAGA SAN FRANCISCO GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is the world’s largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 160,000 competitors worldwide. On Saturday, September 15, 2012, NAGA makes its debut in San Francisco, CA with its 1st annual NAGA San Francisco Grappling Championship No-Gi & Gi tournament. The tournament will be held at the Kezar Pavilion right in San Francisco. Come as an individual or as a team to compete. You do not have to live in California or be on a team to participate in this event. . This event is nationally
100 CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS AWARDED
NAGA is very pleased to be awarding 100 CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS to all its Children, Teen, Adult, Masters, Directors and Executive Expert Division Winners.
SAMURAI SWORDS TO CHILDREN & TEENS WINNERS
NAGA will be awarding custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all non-expert Children & Teen 1st place winners! Octagon medals will be awarded to all 2nd & 3rd place winners along with non-expert Adult division winners. Adult competitors who place 1st and win a gold medal will have the opportunity to obtain a samurai sword at the NAGA T-shirt booth for a nominal fee. All children/teens will take home a medal even if they do not place 1st through 3rd for having the courage to compete.

NAGA awards huge customized championship banners to the tournament team champions. A banner can be won in: Adult Overall, Adult No-Gi, Adult Gi, and Kids & Teens Overall. Please make sure your team registers under the same team name.
NATIONALLY RANKED EVENT
All NAGA events are part of the
nationwide ranking system entitled RANKED. Our goal is to determine who the best
grapplers in the country are for various age, gender, and skill levels. This
tournament will be nationally ranked so do not miss your opportunity to gain
points towards a true national title.

NAGA works diligently to prevent "sandbagging",
or the practice of fighting down skill levels to ensure one takes home an
award. NAGA has been working with RANKED to track all fighters and ranked
grappling events to produce true "national standings." A by-product of these
standings is our knowledge of who has competed and at which level. Front door
personnel will use RANKED data to determine whether or not individuals who have
fought in past events belong in a higher skill level (i.e. placed 1st at a prior

Continue onto Central Freeway (signs for Octavia Blvd/Fell Street). Exit onto Octavia and go left on Fell. Turn right on Shrader. Left on Hayes and left on Stanyan. The venue will be on the right.
Directions from the North Bay: Take 101 South to San Francisco (Toll Road/Golden Gate Bridge). Take the California 1 S exit toward Golden Gate Parkway/19th Avenue. Turn right on Cabrillo, go left onto 15th Ave, turn left onto Fulton St and turn right onto Stanyan. The venue will be on the right.
Directions from the South Bay: Take either 101 North toward San Francisco. Take exit 423B for Interstate 380 West toward San Bruno and merge onto 380W. Take exit 5A to merge onto 280 North toward San Francisco. The freeway will end so you will continue onto CA-1 N/Junipero Serra (signs for 19th Ave/Golden Gate Bridge). Make a slight left at 19th Avenue. Turn right onto Lincoln Way. You may continue onlt Frederick and turn left onto Stanyan (venue will be on the left) or from Lincoln, you can continue onto Kezar Drive and then turn right on Stanyan (venue will be on the right).
Parking is limited in San Francisco. There is a pay lot just south of the venue. Another option is to park in the parking structure at UCSF.
