Who is your ONE favourite fighter per weight class

Go on, pick ONE fighter per weightclass: which i know is hard as hell sometimes but just do eeeet. Which fighter makes you hold your breath when he is trading blows. If you feel like it include why.

Heavyweight: Mark Hunt
--> This guy is a warrior, and he is the scariest man in the octagon. Why? because he is out there doing his job like its a 9-5 thing. He comes out and knocks people around nonchalantly. He may not have the greatest record, but he has one of the best competitive resumes. Hell, he put a beating on Fedor for 8 minutes (i kid). He seems to have really started to put together a game that will keep the fight where he wants it, and as a big man, he doesn't need a ton of time to play it, even against top contenders.

Light-Heavyweight: Forrest Griffin
--> I admittedly am part of that wave of fans that jumped this sport's bandwagon far ahead of its conception: 3 or 4 years ago to be exact. But i took a leap into the sport instead of a step and immediately submerged myself in its every aspect. My friend and I took interest in Forrest, why? yeah he's hilarious, but he also goes in to fight. Forrest isn't incredible at any one aspect of fighting, but he is damn good at all of it. I feel like Forrest is a good example of a complete mixed martial artist; a clean strong striker with a bb in jiu jitsu. I love watching the man fight, win or lose he will win or lose.

Middleweight: Wanderlei Silva
--> I expect to see this answer pumped out a few times during the course of this thread. I chosse Wanderlei because he is forever the warrior of the octagon. Wanderlei mighy consider himself unemployed, he doesn't practice MMA for a living: the guy puts it on the line for the fans, because he loves to fight. This is not a job. I met Wanderlei once, gave him a big hug when he went for a handshake. And then vice versa after i got a pic with him. Judging from the stories i've heard from others on this forum he is incredible to all of his fans. In and out of the octagon.

Welterweight: Georges St. Pierre
Because fuck you, thats why. No but seriously, this guy is ultra popular and ultra talented. This is one of those guys that coming in, you know what he has to offer you, but it doesnt matter because he is so good at what he does that your plan is negated. He is going to hit you in the face and then disappear out of range, and then put you on your back and you arent going to get up until Josh Rosenthal tells you its okay. Those who call Georges a boring fighter really need to just not watch him, go watch Kimbo box or something.

Lightweight: Joe Lauzon
--> I am going to be honest, I had a hard time picking this one, no lightweights came to mind with the word favourite. It used to be Gomi, but it feels like he kind of gave up on me so I give up on him. I'm going to say Joe because he talks to his fans on here and his fight against Gabe Reudiger is the first fight that comes to mind when I think of the words: dominance. Joe also is the upset king; if you are on a mean streak or have a big name, maybe ignore Joe Silva's texts regarding fighting this man. You know, everytime you see this guy fight, that he has the skills to win it.

Featherweight: Mark Hominick
--> All I need to say to justify this pick is round 5, and everyone knows what im talking about. Seeing it live, and taking in the energy of 54,999 other fans was in-freaking-sane. Homi didn't quit, he kept on fighting and thats a mentality ever person out there should take into every day they wake up. Mark is also Canadian, and being a patriot its hard to ignore the few great homegrown fighters that make an impact on this sport.

Bantamweight: Dominick Cruz
--> I can say the reason behind this may be this reason of TUF. I didn't really care for the guy, he has taken out some of my favourite fighters and that sucks. But I never really knew what he was about; this season of TUF is great publicity for him. He is a calm guy with excellent coaching. I find his fight style exciting as fuck, its so strange and fast-paced that its hard to look away. I feel like his style is the MMA style of fighting because it incorporates every aspect of fighting into fluid motion. He is the only fighter on this list that I don't hold my breath for when watching: simply because I don't think he can lose. I think he will be the most dominant UFC champion of all time.

Flyweight: Ian McCall
--> Gorgeous footwork, excellent wrestling, solid camp, and the best MMA moustache of all time (thats right Dan Severn). On top of all that I want you to tell me one other high level athlete in another sport communicates with his fans one on one on a daily basis. The guy walks the talk, he isn't just some can that did okay in MMA and gained HUUUGE support because he is part of a message board, he is the Flyweight king! UGCTT 4 life!
