....even when he's rocking Condit on the feet? Seems like he could've finished the fight a few times if he just kept punching, instead he goes directly for the takedown....

He got rocked by that kick when he gave COndit any room.
He's also been off for a year. |

GSP doesnt have enough power to rock or really hurt guys standing up..he is technical but he doesnt have KO power..plus, his chin scares me..if GSp was as tough as Condit, he would be a beast.. |

He's sat down Thiago Alves, Jon Fitch, a prime Matt Hughes and Jay Hieron, just off the top of my head. He's not a power puncher, but he can hurt you. |

I thought so too. A couple of those flurries looked like he had Condit a bit confused and covering on the fence and if he just would of kept going... |

The thing is he never rocked him. Now GSP isn't the hardest puncher but I credit Condit's chin here. It's like nothing bothered him except the loss. And I ain't talking about blood loss here. |

He might have thought he could finish him on the ground. |

He doesn't rock people because he never hits people with more than 3 punches he lands 3 punches and goes for the takedown if he carried on over whelming with strikes against the cage i think he would finish more.. But i agree it is more of a risk

gusto - you dont fix what aint broken This. But I was disappointed a bit. He had begun to return to his old style. He was trading, getting close and tagging him hard, then he just switched back to the old style of lay and occasional punch. It also occurred to me that he wanted to elbow the hell out of Condit, but held back a little.
Still I give him a B+ for a fight that took place after a 19month layover. |

It was sort of annoying to watch, maybe so with "Casual" fans I was with. But everytime he'd tag him he'd just shoot in (outside of one takedown where he caught Carlos' leg kick). In the 4th and 5th rounds, especially the latter, he caught Carlos with good 4-5 shots and then just shot in. ehh |

gusto - you dont fix what aint broken This. Plus he is actually a grappler first in terms of his application in MMA. He just has great standup, but you don't fix what brought you to the game. Hell its what the forum bitchs about, for instance, in regards to BJ since he fancied himself a boxer and forgot he could wrestle and do bjj as well. |

I think it's part of his general approach of keeping his opponent guessing. It makes sense to always keep the other guy unsure. |
