Let's not forget, Marquardt is the Strikeforce welterweight incumbent. Hendricks is clearly the top contender, but weight class above or not, let's not forever how Marquardt destroyed Kampmann and Maia - 2 formidable current contenders. Honestly, Marquardt could be GSP's worst stylistic nightmare at 170.

You guys underrate Marquardt. Him losing to Sonnen does nothing to detract from his dangerousness. Anderson would have lost to Sonnen in a 3 rounder too at their first go at it. Let's not forget that Chael was badly gassed in round 3 of his fight with Marquardt and probably would've lost the fight if it was a 5 rounder.

Bootsy Collins -UK Rampage - GSP vs Silva next no, he shouldn't have to, but it's silly to have him sit out rather than fight. Marquardt either fights the contender or the champ. with silva vs gsp going on he might as well fight 'a' champ if not 'the' champ. |

futurepr0n -So are Rory, Nate, and GSP never going to fight each other? Kos and Fitch won't fight each other either. So 5 of the top 10 170lbsers won't fight each other. Fabes - They're sparring partners and close friends, so no. it was actually GSP's idea nate drop to WW. At the time he decided to drop, nate was still in UFC. That said, in the last UFC primetime it shows Nate at Tristar, so I cant really see how this fight would happen. |

I would love to see Maia or Kampmann rematch at 170. He has to win a couple of big fights before getting a shot at GSP. |

He has won one fight at Welterweight. And that was Tyron Woodley who isn't exactly one of the best, and it also wasn't like he run through him. GSP by GnP |
