so im rolling with matt serra and i grab his gi pants down by his ankle to attempt a sweep and he naturally realizes what im going for and kicks his leg straight back and i hear a SNAP. i look down to my hand and see my ring finger is shaped like a perfect T.im like "ah...Matt....i think u just broke my finger"...He looks over then around the academy for nicky his brother....." dont worry nicky is great with this shit.......NICK.....fix his finger please" Nick walks over and to be honest im not feeling all that confident in his nursing skills, but he grabbed my arm put it between his legs ass facing me and pulls and puts my finger back into place. " ok....you're good....keep rolling" |

Those toes.
I was rolling with a guy once and he got his pinky toe stuck between the mats and when I rolled him, half his pinky toe stayed there.
Since I was rolling with him I had to take him to emergency. Sorry Ryan and thanks for being so cool about it. |

NotImpressedByYourScreenName - Not in an mma gym but once heard a guy tear a pectoral muscle trying to decline bench 6 plates a side. It sounded like a car tyre popping - no exaggeration. There is a difference between tenacity and what that guy has, no way he's fully recovered after 4 weeks. This sound like a painful and expensive case of terminal madness... |

I was sparring in a simulated mma fight with a guy my size(6' 2" 205) and he shoots on me...I put one leg back to give myself some balance then all I hear is a pop and my ankle gives out on me...turns out it rolled under me and I swear to god I thought i broke it 6 hours in the hospital ER later i've got a grade 3 ankle sprain and no training for a while yeah not nearly as nasty as some people here but I guess i've just been lucky |

I was grappling with this guy who was mostly a a gi player Nogi, I was in his guard and this dick decides to reach around the back of my neck and basically lapel choke me with my compression shirt. Collar tore through the front of my neck and blood started pooling underneath my skin. I had a blood blister on my neck for the next 3 weeks from ear to ear. I had little fight club moments untill it healed. "yes I got this from fighting, yes i'm ok with that" |

chupacabra208 - Recently picked up a staph infection that got into my blood. Had red streaks from my arm to my chest. Spent a few days in the hospital i was super dehydrated God staph is fucking awful. I had just recently moved and I got this lump on the inside of my hip bone. I thought it was a hernia, hurt like hell dull ache,tender and constanly sore as fuck. I was at work one day and bumped into my manager elbow right on the thing and I DROPPED. Dropped like I just took a Bas Rutten left hook to the liver. So i head to the hospital the next day the doctor asks all his docotr questions and im still under the impression its a hernia so he starts trying to push it back in. I'm gritting my teeth as he's trying to force an inflated staph lump back inside my body. He orders as CT and I go back the next day, Figured out what it's just liquid so He goes into a drawer and pulls out a razor. If I told you what it looked like you'd never eat pudding again. LOL Turns out it was literally sitting on top of my femoral artery. If it popped as he was pushing it back in I could have been seriously fucked. |

Sounds like an asshole. I was doing a strength and conditionings session paired up with another guy, and instead of using his posterior chain to flip the tyre, he decided his arms were strong enough. His bicep decided that it wasn't, and you could hear the tear from ten feet away. His bicep contracted up into a ball up towards his shoulder, torn straight off the ligaments. |
