Cain wins won of the most dominant fights in years. over someone that people thought was unbeatable is ridiculous. Cain fought perfectly. That's why he's considered as Joe Rogan and Dana White would say "the baddest man on the planet." I see no holes in Cain's game. Who would have thought you would see Cain almost armbarring JDS? If Cain didn't go for the RNC it's because it wasn't there in his mind. Clearly everything else he did "was there"

This is why Meisha will never be champion. Cain the winner dominated from the back position and didn't take the risk of losing it by going for RNC. Instead of observing and humbly learning this lesson from someone better than she is, she does this. |

Cain fought a smart fight and has the belt.Agreed. Not saying she doesn't have the right to voice her opinion on fights but she comes off extremely arrogant in those tweets.

Cain obviously thought the choke was a risk. Not sure why she is being crapped on by fans who say the same stuff though. Than again I don't know why she would say something annoying to make people hate her more. |

Jds as a blackbelt knows how to DEFEND A RNC... Maybe cain felt that JDS was to strong And aware to attempt the choke Cain was also very tired Coming from a fighter im suprised she was so critical

Taking the back can be a risky endeavor in an MMA fight, what with the lack of friction. You are also limited to two high percentage subs (RNC and armbar), and less room to strike on account of the back-of-the-head facing you and the fact that you need to think about staying on the back. Guys like Cain, with their wrestling backgrounds and hence familiarity with the top-turtle position, would rather stay on the side and dish damage out. Seems to have worked. You'll see GSP do something similar. He's not great at taking the back, and it doesn't help that his opponents tend to be great grapplers that know how to counter. You'll see him slide off the top a lot and attempt an armbar on the way down. |

i think the point is that if meisha was an OP on the UG, she would of got burned for being a dumb cunt. only difference is, she said it on twitter. if cain would of lost, yeah he might of been 'stupid' but he didn't even come close. so rather than call someone out on their epic victory, why not go watch a few youtube tutorials on how to not get your arm bent like a wishbone at christmas.

:sigh: Context, people, context... First - there's nothing there that's really "bad" about what Miesha said... Maybe "stupid" wasn't the best choice of words, but when looked at IN CONTEXT of why she said, it - it's fine. She thought Cain should have been able to finish it, and not even give JDS a chance to catch him. So, yeah, she's right. Everything else was just commentary on the fight. And that - especially after the 30-27 Guillard score - who the hell knows what the judges are gonna do. Also, it's not like she's just calling Cain stupid. She just said that she thought he should have gone for the choke - although in a not-completely-thought-out sort of way. IOW: Nothing to see here. Move along. Wait - what I mean is "Dat Azzzz!" |

Miesha is a awesome. She didn't need to call Cain stupid, she tweeted it is a judgement of Cain as a person versus an action of Cain (not going for the RNC was stupid). It's amazing how perfect we expect our athletes to be, especially our female athletes. What she tweeted wasn't that offenseIve. I'm sure Cain thinks nothing out. |
