I don't like when athletes make up stats, like 90% of people take steroids and only 10% are clean if they aren't willing to name names.
The stat maybe true, but don't make up statistics if you are not willing to back them up with names. |

The idea of purity in MMA is a bit overblown - is it better everybody just takes supplements that attempt to replicate the effects of steroids than just do the real thing? I guess people just want their cheaters to have to work for it? |

Sean McCorkle -Ansari -Sean McCorkle - Do any of you actually believe that 90% of athletes in all professional sports are clean, and 10% that are juicing are the bad apples spoiling the bunch? If we accept your estimation, it's much easier to assume that you're part of the 90% than the 10%. |

This thread honestly leaves me feeling like Sean has used steroids in his career.

Fighting a guy on steroids must be like Kevin James trying to fuck a pornstar all night |

Constantly chasing your tail is the worst scenario, that just make the richer athletes able to pursue the cutting egde. |

I appreciate it when any of the professional fighters on this site share first-hand-personal-experience with the masses. Without being crucified or doubted a thousand ways from Sunday. Maybe that's just me? Tim Silvia, Sherk, Reem, Bigfoot Silva, Sonnen, Barnett, Shields, Marquart, blah, blah, blah. I bet most of you can name more than me. Not to mention the entire HammerHouse. Sean McCorkle, thanks for the frank and open statement. I'm really not surprised and don't think your position is without merit. Would legalizing (some or all) PED's allow pro-athletes to be better monitored by a physician, get cleaner Rx product, and therefore stay healthier? |

McCorckle must not have kids or give a rat's ass about the future generations. He apparently only thinks of himself and the HERE and NOW aspect of life. And he's totally juicing. |

You may be right, but all but one of those randomly tested in 2012 came back clean. I am not saying that many are not cheating, but 90% seems unlikely when Cain, JDS, Bigfoot, Nelson, Carwin and Mir all tested clean. Random tests can't be planned for. |

Sean McCorkle -Actually the guys who shoot were taking beta-blockers to slow their heart rates down... Better accuracy...letsgobois - Bottom line, everyone who wants to be the best in the world at anything will always look for an advantage if it's possible

If done right and I mean under a physician's watchful eye, there are benefits to PED's. You have to take this stuff out of the gym rats hands. I wonder how many of the 90% get their stuff from a doctor and how many get them from some dirtbag who made them in his basement, or got them from suspicious sources. If the right ones were allowed, the ones that have little to no serious health detriments, taking PED's can be beneficial to these athlete's. |

HeHitsMeBecauseHeLovesMe - I was following right till the believe in Jesus thing.Yup, even though I disagreed with his main argument, I was still following it. It just completely loses me whenever someone says something related to Jesus.
