Im just left wondering why this fight could of not happened at a catchweight. Cyborg said she could make 140 so I dont understand the reason why the fight cant happen.

Be fair. Ronda won her medal at 155lbs. When she was at 145 talk of a Cyborg fight came up. Ronda then opted to go down to 135 and started picking a fight with Tate. She stated it was her intention to win the belt at 135 then fight Cyborg. She then went back on that plan.

And then, of course, what you said about Cyborg is also true.

Rhonda is the UFC 135lb champion. Generally speaking, if someone wants to fight her for the 135lb strap, then they need to meet the weight requirements of that division, i.e. 135lbs or less.

Given that, how fucking idiotic is it for you and Cyborg to think that she should be allowed to weigh in at 140 to fight for 135lb title?!?!

actually, what happened was Cyborg was suspended for a year which caused SF to scrap the 145lb division

she couldnt have stuck to any 'plan' to back to 145lbs, it no longer existed, SF held one 145lb WMMA fight in the entire year post Cyborg being stripped
