The problem with this fight is that there pretty much isn't anything that you can take away from what Machida did and still give him the win.  I mean he did literally the absolute bare minimum required.

Agreed with this. I felt like nobody "won", Machida lands a kick and circles and back peddle's for a minute afterwards not engaging, with Henderson trying to chase after him. Uneventful and anti-climatic fight, Lyoto got the decision but there was no real winner

Rampage did nothing for 2 rounds, then got blasted in the 3rd

Plus Rampage really should thank Shogun for the rest of his life for the "win," because it was Shogun's brutal KO of Machida which made Machida even more hesitant in the fight with Rampage

To this day, only Shogun has really out struck and out classed Machida, that just goes to show you how much of special talent Shogun is and how truly amazing a healthy Shogun is

watching the post fight presser now and Dan basically says it was his fault, he let Machida play his game, doesnt blame the judges but still that Machida didnt fight or picked and chosed when he wanted to fight.

Willy the Coyote - Anyone who thinks Dan won that fight is delusional. He was outclassed on the feet, and his biggest accomplishment was sitting in Lyoto's guard for a couple of minutes. Lyoto landed more significant strikes, showed far superior footwork, and did more damage on the ground in 5 seconds than Dan did in two minutes.

sharkman68 - Machida won. He landed much more and got the takedown. Round 3 wasnt a takedown, Machida clearly slipped. I can understand why it was a frustrating fight for Henderson, but I dont see how anyone thinks he won the fight?

Actually, anyone who uses the term "outclass" to describe that fight is delusional....and clueless about MMA. Outclass doesn't belong in a close fight. Machida won a boring, close decision. Outclass? Never go full frontal retard.

In the striking department, where 80+% of the fight took place, Machida did indeed outclass Danny boy. 

There was no question, after watching 3 rounds, that Machida was the far superior striker. If he were white and Amurican you would agree.

Yes he was because he knew that he had to because of the takedown. To me it's pretty disgusting that the only time Machida will engage is when he thinks he will lose the round on points, otherwise revert to SOP - step back and wait.
