I wouldn't bet against Nick in that position. When is the last time he has been wrestle-f$cked... Or controlled on the ground in any way for that matter.

This fight is exciting because it is intriguing. At least as much as because of the characters involved.

GSP doesn't have to do anything. He is the champ and is defending(!) his belt. GSP most likely decides where the fight goes, and when he decides to take in to the ground and wrestelfuck Nick because he thinks it is the safest way to win it is Nicks problem that he can do nothing about it.
In the last few day you get the feeling the ug trys to talk GSP (like he reads the ug) to fight where Nick is strongest.

Whooooooaaaa...let's put the brakes on here. Do you honestly think that if GSP takes Nick down every round and does nothing but throw short elbows (aka lay-n-pray) that the crowd won't get restless? You think the crowd will sit and cheer for a half hour straight if GSP is doing nothing of significance just because he is GSP?

This fight can play out a million different ways, but no crowd will sit and cheer for 30 minutes straight for a wrestling match. Let's be real now.

That would be sean sherk and no he wasn't wrestle fucked. He actually took Sherk Down and stuffed a ton of takedowns...think Sherk got him down twice, but won the fight ultimately in the judges eyes via punching diaz in his arms and shoulders...or are you talking riggs????
riggs also got taken down by Diaz and dropped a couple times and ultimately lost 2 rounds in 95% of peoples minds...but somehow riggs got the dec......You must be speaking of Diego his only real loss in 9 years...yeah he didn't get wrestle fucked that was an amazing fight with constant scrambles and transitions. Diego won that fight but Nick was hardly blanketed.
Don't see how GSP can hold Nick down with the skills Diaz possess from bottom

Depends on how the fight goes imo, the OP could be correct and he may get hate after if it seems like he is trying to ride out a win.

Keep in mind though, Nick Diaz is one hard motherfucker to finish for ANYONE and that includes GSP, but if it seems like he is trying and pounding the shit out of him, I think at least the halfway educated fans will see and recognize that.
