I've got about 4k miles between my 49cc Aprilia and my current ride a GT250R and have not even had a close call. I'm pretty close to being convinced people only get into accidents by having more bike than they can handle or the freak incidents where someone just hits you. You just have to be super aware of everything around you. An awesome bike right now is the Hyosung/UM 650 line up. They have the naked version which is very comfortable to ride and pretty upright riding posture, a half fairing SV style sport bike and a full fairing R model. Can be had from $3500-$6000 and put out about 80hp, water cooled and twin 35mm mikuni carbs. I've got about 3200 mi on my 250R so far without the slightest bit of a hiccup...and they come with a 2 yr unlimited mi tire to tire warranty |
