I'll start it off, but I don't have anything spectacular (yet) Nikon D40x and D50 55mm-200mm AF-S VR F4-5.6 (slow, but it's very cheap for a AF and VR lens!) 50mm F1.8 AF-D (will be here on Monday) I'm still pretty new, but I really enjoy photography so I hope to graduate to a D300 and then up to a D3 if I can justify the cost. :) I am a Nikon whore due to a bad experience with Canon (non DSLR) products in the past. I'm happy with Nikon though. |

There's nothing wrong with Nikon. I could be just as happy with a Nikon. However, everyone I know uses a Canon so I wanted to do the same and be able to learn off of them. It's all about Canon and Nikon. |

True...both are respectable and have their advantages/disadvantages. |

Dead Again - I'm using the Cannon Rebel XSi. That's definitely a quality camera. I'm holding off for the 50D. |

I have the Nikon D-70. It is my first digital slr. It was the first I tried out and like it. Not sure if it is a great camera compared to others but I like it so far. |

A D70 is fine for a beginner...it supports the cheaper Nikon AF-D lenses and it'll take good shots for the money. I don't know much about Canon's, but there's nothing wrong with 'em. Depending on what you need, you can go with either Nikon or Canon to get the exact features/lens for the job. |

Canon is the industry leader but Nikon is quickly coming up fast. One nice thing about Canons is the vast amount of support for it. Also, plenty of used equipment to be found with so many owners across the US :) |

Nice shots. I also love my 50mm. I won't use it at shows though because I really need to zoom and I'm big on not having to crop pictures. |

I've just got this little Canon G7 point and shoot that a friend recommended. I've only had it for a few weeks but I like what it does for a point and shoot. ![]() |
