Fighting with cap and not even talking about the issue is being a bit ridiculous. The most reasonable guy in the marvel universe who is never on the wrong side of any major conflict wants to talk to you about a potential major problem, before he finished two sentences you blast him. If I'm on the island I might fight because of beliefs about a messiah etc. but that would be the absolute end of following scott anywhere. |

This sets up an interesting reason for the fight. On one side, the X-Men believe they are literally fighting for their lives and the existence of mutants as a whole, and the Avengers are fighting in the belief that if they don't win then everyone on earth will be wiped out. It almost has a "holy war" feel to it, with both sides feeling that they are fighting for the ultimate right. Still not sure who's side I'm on, but I'm leaning towards the Avengers because Spidey is my homeboy lol. |

I will side with the winning team. That being the team that has a movie coming out and could use the currency of beating the X-Men as a put-over for casual fans. Pym will get some attention I think. Isn't Ant-Man in pre production? |

Spidey took the entire X-men by himself in Secret Wars... So the rest is just overkill... lol |

Icepac - Spidey took the entire X-men by himself in Secret Wars... So the rest is just overkill... lol *head desk* warning....rant ahead. Comic book fans kill me with this stuff... Spider-Man didn't get his ass kicked by the X-Men and ran away during the Secret Wars until Xaiver removed his memories. How that translates into Spider-Man "took the entire x-men by himself" is beyond me. |

He did take them on as I recall. It's been a long time, but I think he even swatted Wolverine like a fly (maybe in was Storm?) |

Spider-Man discovered the x-men where thinking of winning the Secret Wars and using the Beyonder's gift for themselves to better mutantkind. As the images show, Spider-Man then evaded the X-Men and escaped. Yeah, he got some licks in, but he didn't stand and pummel them all into submission which comic fans like to imply. I'm with Ted on this one...Spider-Man is generally underwritten. With his abilities he should be extremely formidable if he went all out. And maybe, under the right circumstances Spider-Man could beat an entire x-team by himself, depending on the x-team...but "Secret Wars" isn't an example that Spider-Man has beaten the X-Men all by himself. |

Rulk COULD wipe out the Xmen single handedly IF he was to go back to using his power again... imagine him soaking up Magneto or siphoning Storm's lightening to max out. This is the guy who dropped Thor, Surfer and a Watcher not so long ago. I understand the writers putting a big restriction on him to make him usable, and I like the idea of it being something he doesn't do lightly... but he should do it occasionally if for no other reason than to remind us he can. Without it he's not much more than a calm Hulk with better training. PIS aside, Juggerlossus should kickfuck Rulk in a page or two. Given that Rulk took the asswhupping of a lifetime from Worthy Thing rather than use his power, I'm guessing he still won't. |

You left out the rest of that secret wars fight where Prof X put a psychic whammy on Spidey and wiped out his memory of the events ending the whole encounter. Prof X > Spidey As for Rulk wiping out the X-men singlehandedly, Emma and Rogue could beat him in 2 panels rather easily. Magneto, Dr Nemesis and a few other could do it as well with a little more effort.. |

Spidey vs wolverine 1987 = turboface palm. That fight was written terribly. Which is no surprise because spiderman is one of the most underwritten power sets and wolverines is one of the top overwritten. |

Dr Strange has fluctuated quite a bit but hes beat Moondragon (while she had the mind gem) in telepathic battle. emma or xaiver wouldnt be that big of a deal if he still has that type of ability. Also, cant he cast a spell over the team in order for them to have telepathic protection? |

matt murdock - Is it explained anywhere why he doesn't use his powers? yes, due to the instability of the process that created him, the more he uses it the more he risks getting stuck in one form forever. |

MarkRobinson - Spidey vs wolverine 1987 = turboface palm. I disagree... Spidey was losing because he was AFRAID of Logan, when he snapped and went flat out he was beating Wolverine. Then he got him down but was unwilling to kill him. Spidey won the fight, he just wasn't willing to finish him off. Sounds fair to me. |
