There's no way the star brand can stand up to Thor, Hyperion, Hulk, Captain Marvel and Captain Universe. Right? Can someone give me a little crash course on the Star Brand?

MarkRobinson - There's no way the star brand can stand up to Thor, Hyperion, Hulk, Captain Marvel and Captain Universe. IIRC, whoever wields the Star Brand is grossly powerful, limited only by their imagination. I don't know if the Star Brand is on the same level as the Infinity Guantlet, but it's up there. Hopefully Hickman will take this opportunity to more clearly define the powers of the Star Brand. |

Love the art, but the story is already starting to bore... |

Ashuram - Love the art, but the story is already starting to bore...I really don't understand how you can say that. Hickman is like a novelist. He sets up a story very carefully. Look at his run with F4. He weaved that story perfectly. He also gives every character a lot of attention. I for one am excited to see his take on the starbrand and a multiverse threat.

Hickman is a slow burn type of writer. He takes his time to build up the story and he usually doesn't disappoint. If you're reading the illuminati avengers book too, then you probably noticed that this multiple universe collapse is somehow connected. I'm anxious to find out what's going on. Seems like the universe they pulled Hyperion from suffered the same end that the illuminati is trying to prevent. And what captain universe might be talking about with the whole "this universe is broken" talk. I'm definitely liking these stories.

I wouldn't be surprised of Hyperion somehow saves the world and dies doing so. I can't imagine Hyperion running around the 616 after Hickmans run. Captain Marvel will probably die too.

From http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=44195 Marvel Editor in Chief, Alex Alonso on Hickman
On the story front, what kind of action will he be taking on? I know Hickman said last time we talked that he'll be swinging back and forth between solo stories and bigger arcs. Where does this fall? Alonso: Jonathan is one of Marvel’s most methodical macro-planner. Every issue -- long or short, seemingly standalone or not -- is part of a puzzle that he’s carefully building. No standalone story is there to tread water; it's all part of a carefully orchestrated plan that’s driving forward to a place Jonathan already knows. When we’re examining his work at the end of his run a few years from now, we’ll be saying, "Oh! That’s how that piece fit into the larger story!" |

No i dont think so. Ive been buying them from comixology.
Theyve been pretty cool. They reassembled the Infinity Gauntlet and Captain America uses it.

It's from Hickmans New Avengers. Which is basically the counterpart to this avengers book. Hickman says this book is about life and New Avengers is about death. Both are awesome. |

Nappyshizno - Where are these purchasable online??!I use comixology and the marvel comics app on my iPad. I'm in Japan and we don't have American comics, so I'm super happy to have these options. Otherwise you can dl them from torrents and use a cbr comicbookreader program.
