So the new season finally starts on Saturday. How do you think your team will do and what do you expect? I expect Newcastle will have a really frustrating season unless they can sign at least one forward before the end of August. The defence is as shaky as usual, we have a brilliant midfield and shite strikers. I doubt Michael Owen will be seen this season, Kieran Dyer will make another comeback from injury only to disappear again 2 weeks later. I predict.. League - 12th FA Cup - 4th Round Mickey Mouse Cup - Quarters UEFA Cup - 3rd Round Top Scorer - Ameobi with about 10. God I'm depressed. |

Ah the evergreen Dean Windass. He's better than anything Newcastle have at the minute. |

Liverpool FC (as hard as hell) League - 2nd FA Cup - disappointing semi Champions League - Quarters. beaten by eventual winner Scorer - You'd hope its Bellamy. Otherwise Gerrard again with 12, or Crouch with 2. |

Windass is still really very good. He got a good one the other day, a 40 yard free-kick a la Gary McAllister. We were 1-0 down to Bristol City, won a free kick and as the keeper was trying to organise the wall, Windass spanked it over them into the bottom left corner with the keeper scampering across in vain. He's already got 3 goals in 3 games so far this season. Incidentally, my fellows and I were recently recalling Dean's short time at Sheffield United a few years ago. United made the play-offs and Warnock took the players to Scotland for a break and team-building weekend in Scotland at a castle with a golf course. Windass got drunk out of his mind and took a shit in the 18th hole and was soon shipped back to Bradford City. |

Brilliant, you wouldn't see Thierry Henry doing that. |

Ah, but could Henry do it in League 1? He'd be brutalised and anally raped within 15 minutes! Mick, you're just jealous you couldn't get goals out of Ian Rush when he was in his twighlight years! lol was that a Dalglish sig(h)ning? |

LOL I was talking about the dumping in the golf hole. Rush was indeed a Dalglish signing, he managed all of 2 goals for us. Dalglish fucked our club up royally. |

West Ham United (Pride of East Landon) Really tough to call. I can't see it being better than last year, but it is a better more experienced team than last year. I'll go: League: 9th FA Cup: Qtrs Milk Cup: Qtrs UEFA: Lose in the 3rd round to some team from Turkey. Top Scorer: Would have been Ashton...but has to be Harewood again: 16 |

lol Mick sorry, I think my Bradford defence mechanism was kicking in there. Are you a season ticket holder at St James' Park still? I've still got loads of Newcastle tickets and programmes from the 80's and 90's from when my old man used to take me. |

I sold my season ticket to my Brother as I started to work Saturdays and it wasn't worth the money. To be honest I prefer to go to away games and hope to get a few of those this season, far far better atmosphere and generally a fucking good day out. Govnor, you think Carlton Cole will have a good season? I always thought he was a good player. His quotes just after signing must've pissed you off though. He said something like "If I work hard at West Ham I might get a move back to a big club in the future." Ouch. |

Mick - I missed that...LOL. Nothing like putting pressure on yourself. He's got his first break (no pun) with Ashton being out for a bit...but he is going to have to do VERY well to outshine the others upfront, that is a our strongest area by far. Good luck to him. I'm under no illisions that our players look at the "big clubs" and wonder if they'll ever get a chance "up there"...point is, they have to play well at WH to get there first, so it's not all bad. He is a fool for saying that publicly though. |

Chelsea are gonna struggle this season. I am pretty sure they won't three-peat. Too much internal drama. Boca are off to a pretty good start but don't know who there coach is gonna be. Last I heard it was gonna be Lavolpe (of Mexican National Team fame). But it could be anyone next week. As long as they don't bring in Bielsa,I am ok with it. |

Glad we won but it's worrying how we made Wigan look like Real Madrid at times. |

Third win in a row for Bradford City, 3-0 away at Crewe. Eddie Johnson our new striker came off the bench to get 2 goals. In David Graham and Eddie Johnson, it looks like we actually have some decent forwards to play with Windass! 3rd in the League after 4 games. It'll never last, but it's nice to enjoy for now. |

1-1 with Villa. Not a great start, although I'd have taken it with 10 minutes left. Plus, I have a fat bloke who won't stop talking to me during the match in the season ticket seat to my left. |

Looks like Anelka could be moving to Bolton. Diouf and Anelka in the same team, double the hatred. |

LOL^^ Bolton are not my favourite team. Number of reasons, but most of it stems from the season West Ham went down on goal difference and Bolton survived. My then boss was a Bolton fan and that next season was a fucking nightmare on Monday mornings!! |
