Quest for the Lost Civilization I highly recommend this video by Graham Hancock. I hadn't heard of him until a couple of weeks ago---I manage an independent video store and we have a shit load of old VHS tapes in the back. One day I was digging around and found one of his videos called "Monuments of Life", and although the guy seems to jump to a lot of conclusions, the stuff he puts forth is rather interesting, nonetheless. Check er out. |

I would recommend anyone doing some youtube searches on guys like Alex Collier, Phil Schneider, Dr. Michael Wolf, Al Bielek and just for poops & giggles Dr. Jonathan Reed..although if his story is true would be the craziest thing you've seen on youtube or pretty much anywhere. I can provide direct links if anyone is interested |

Please do. I've heard of Phil Schneider and Al Bielek, but I don't know about doctors Michael Wolf and Jonathon Reed. |

hahah.. but think for just a second that if he may have been telling the truth..what would that mean? he was murdered in 1996..it was typically ruled a suicide, but a ligature was found wrapped around his neck.. I'll get more into all of this maybe tomorrow when I have some time.. one thing though.. I'm sure some of you watch UFO files/hunters on the History channel right? Does anyone think it was odd that in a recent episode, when they were researching the Dulce Wars that they made absolutely no mention of Schneider? How could so called investigators do a special on that topic, and make no mention of him? I found that to be odd. What Schneider says and weather or not he is believable is debatable, but what isn't is that he worked in those mines, and to not mention him in a story about the mines had to have been on purpose. |

With all the promotion the History channel does for the military, both directly (through advertising) and indirectly (through the glorification of war), I take what they say with a grain of salt. I doubt that anything they bring forth will ever truly rock the boat. Their shows are entertaining, though..... |

This is an awesome thread... I dont really believe in ghosts, but I absolutely believe in aliens. Although 99% of the reinacting encounters are bullshit, they have probable been here. |

I recently watched the History Channel special "Ancient Aliens" on DVD and it was pretty damn good. Some of it does involve people grasping at straws--on both sides of the argument, but like I said, it was damn good nonetheless. |

I recomend "Finger Prints of The God's" as a starting point for the pyramid mystery. The Giza pyramids are connected to Orion's belt as it was positioned in the sky 10-12,000 years ago. They may not have been built that early but the crypto astronomy used by the builders means something. Dr. Schoch has proven the Sphinx is old enought that when it is was completed it would have been staring back it's heavanly counterpart in Leo, which it would ten to twenty thousand years ago. Even the orthodox history of the Sphinx is that Cheops (or someone I forget exactly) had it dug up because the head was poking up threw the sand and no one had any idea how it got there, then Pharo defaced it woth his likeness. The notion that Pharonic Egyptiasssns built the Sphinx is horeshit. Dr. Hawass and the old school will be die off sooner or later and a new generation of researchers will be making waves! |

Didn't someone study the erosion on the body of the sphinx and conclude that it had to be from rainfall, not blowing sand? The last time that it rained in that area far predates the Egyptian dynasties, if I remember right... |

The community of scientific geologist are in agreement on the subject. Egyptologists refuse to discuss it. |

First time on the OG and I found something right up my alley. Thanks for the links. Secrets of the Sphinx really caused me to consider "Atlantis" instead of "Ancient Aliens" for the first time. Lot of reading to do still |

Lot of reading to do still Yeah, the more I research these subjects, the more I lean towards Atlantis over Aliens, but if you go back far enough, the question still comes up 'where did the Atlanteans come from?'
